Hello, everyone. I am a person who has a great interest in the archeology and life of the ancient people. These places are always shrouded in mysticism and full of incredible energy. Now I will introduce you to just such a place.
Heraclea Sintica is an ancient city in southwestern Bulgaria near the village of Rupite. Thousands of years ago the city was a center of Sintica and was inhabited by the Thracian tribe Sintica. Homer wrote about it.
In 2005, a large Greek inscription was accidentally found here. Archaeological excavations began in 2007. In some reports it is written that the great Alexander the Great began the conquest of the world.
The place is easy to reach. The road to the village of Rupite is nice, then drive for about 5 minutes on a non-asphalt road. The price for a visit is only 2 levs (1 euro). There is always a person there who, in addition to guarding, also provides very useful information about the site and its history. There are many beautiful preserved statues, pottery, remains of a basilica, columns, arches and ornaments. there are also several very well preserved inscriptions in Greek and Latin.
The walk in this place was very interesting and gave me a lot of positive energy. Certainly the next time I come to this region of Bulgaria I will visit it again.
Thank you for viewing my post
I wish you all the best !
