Hi! This is Jaya π and let me take you back to 2019, my 23rd birthday and my first out-of-the-country trip.
It was April 2019 when I received a call from my cousin (Kuya Mckoy) who's in UAE and told me he will bring me to Singapore on my birthday π . I didn't take it by heart at first because I thought he was just joking. But he called me again around the last week of April and told me to book the flight βοΈ immediately. He wants to go home to the Philippines from UAE but he wants to stop by Singapore first. I've searched for available flights. It's very pricey, but he told me not to worry about it because he will pay for it. So I booked it right away haha π. He also told me that he will also be paying for the place where weβll stay and the ticket to Universal Studio. I only have to bring money for my food, souvenirs, and entrance fees for the places aside from Universal Studio. He also invited our one other cousin to join us.
After booking the flight, I researched π€ and listed a lot of beautiful places that I want to visit and the food that I wanted to try in Singapore. I also listed the things to bring and what I would wear on my 3-day stay in Singapore.
DAY 1
Our flight is at 12 noon but my cousin (Kim) and I went to the airport very early in case unexpected things might happen. This is our first out-of-the-country flight so we don't know the process at the airport yet. After we checked in, we had our lunch at a fast food stall in the airport and waited for the flight after π.
We arrived in Singapore around 4 pm and waited for our cousin (Kuya Mckoy) to arrive.
So when Kuya Mckoy arrived, we went directly to the place where weβll stay, which is located near Orchard Road,to drop our things. We rode a train and I'm so happy because it was my first time riding one hehe πβ€οΈ.
We stayed specifically in 1 Jalan Jintan Road, which is at the back of a mall.
There are a lot of shopping malls with famous brands on Orchard Road and I don't know why I didn't take a picture of it π©.
CHINATOWN
After dropping our things in our room, we then went to Chinatown to have our dinner π΄. I really wanted to have some turkey so we had turkey for dinner π€©.
After that, we bought souvenirs. I know it's weird to be buying souvenirs π on the first day of our trip in Singapore but since we are at Chinatown already (the best place to buy souvenirs), might as well buy there so we don't have to return on our next days anymore.
Day 2
UNIVERSAL STUDIO
It is my birthday ππ₯³ and our schedule for Universal Studio. I wore a very comfy dress so I can enjoy the place a lot. We first took a picture at the very famous Universal Studios Globe. I had a lot of pictures while exploring and we tried riding the Battlestar Galactica and The Transformers: The 3-D Ride.
The BattleStar Galactica is really not for me, it's very scary π’. I didn't open my eyes the whole time I was there haahahha but I super love The Transformers Ride β€οΈ, I feel like I was the lead star of the real Transformers Movie hahaah. We walked around the place using their Studio Guide and have some snacks in between.
After visiting the Universal Studio, we went to see the Sentosa Merlion π¬.
We planned to ride the cable car but I forgot what happened as to why we didn't push through.
We had late lunch before we left Sentosa π₯π΄.
Let me end this blog here and hope you'll join me again on my next post about this trip. Would be glad to share to you the rest of my adventure in this country, Singapore. I still have a lot in store for you, so watch out everyone β€οΈβ€οΈ.
