An Extraordinary Adventure on a weekend day

Last Sunday was filled with excitement and anticipation as my family and I planned to visit the renowned Vegas Mall in Dwarka. We started our journey in car, little did we know that our adventure would take an unexpected turn due to the famous Delhi traffic on weekends.

As we reached Raghubir Nagar, 30 mins away from my home, the bustling streets of Delhi greeted us with their usual chaos. The traffic seemed never-ending, and our car moved at a snail’s pace. Frustration began to build as we realized that reaching Vegas Mall by car might not be possible within a reasonable time frame. We decided to explore other options and eventually settled on the Delhi Metro.

Parking our car at the nearest metro station, we made our way towards the entrance. We bought 3 tickets of 30 INR each. Then we stepped onto the stairs, showing way towards Dwarka Sector 21. Boarding the metro, we found ourselves surrounded by the rhythmic hum of conversations and the occasional sound of laughter.

As the metro glided through the tunnels, the cityscape outside the windows transformed into a blur of lights and colors. The cool air-conditioning provided a welcome respite from the scorching Delhi heat, and we relished in the comfort of our temporary refuge.

Upon reaching our stop, we emerged from the metro station and found ourselves in the vicinity of Vegas Mall. Firstly, we went to Pantaloons store and I found a perfect pair of green joggers for evening walk which costed me 1000 INR in sale. Then, we went to Global Republic and I spotted a trendy black embellished collar shirt that instantly caught my eye. Without hesitation, I made the purchase, envisioning the various occasions i could wear it to. It costed me 2500 INR.

Then we entered the food court, the aroma of various cuisines wafted through the air, instantly making our stomachs growl with hunger. It took us 30 minutes to finally settle down as the whole food court was fully occupied. After scanning the options, we settled on pav bhaji, dosa, gulab jamun and raj kachori. The flavours were delectable, and we savoured every bite, relishing the delightful feast.

As we left the mall, our hearts were filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the unexpected detour that had turned a regular outing into an extraordinary adventure.
