I went to visit Kushtia municipality surrounded by tradition.

Kushtia is the cultural capital of Bangladesh. In this Kushtia there is the dust of the feet of many wise people. Kushtia is located in the middle-south of Bangladesh. After visiting the museum of Kushtia Municipality, I learned that Kushtia Municipality was established in 1869. Kushtia is the second largest municipality in Bangladesh. In 1861, Kushtia district was formed under the Mahakuma of Pabna. Later, Kushtia municipality was established during the British rule in 1869. Later, in 1981, after 100 years, this municipality was further expanded. Lalan Fakir's arena is in this kushtia. The zamindar house of world poet Rabindranath Tagore. Literary Mir Mosharraf Hossain. Kangal Harinath. Bagha Jatin and other history making personalities. In my post today I will share with you some photography and some words of Kushtia Municipality.

Every afternoon, thousands of people gather in this municipal square. As soon as you enter the municipal gate, the first thing you will see is the portrait of the world poet Rabindranath Tagore and our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. As soon as you enter through the gate, you will be greeted by lush greenery and breezy views. There is an open platform in front of the gate. And at the back of Mukta Mancha we have built a statue of victory cheer. And behind it is the nearly 200 years history and heritage museum of Kushtia Municipality. Today's post will highlight some preserved photos and images of the museum.

I grew up in Kushtia city since childhood. That is why the history of the city of Kushtia and the various buildings around it has come to be heard by the people. What is now being used as a municipal hall was the collector's building during the British period. It was used as a municipality after the subsequent government was expelled from the country. The building you see in the picture above is about two hundred and fifty years old.

But I said earlier that our city is full of history and tradition. Wherever you look, you will see the history of thousands of years. As soon as you enter the museum building, you will see various traditions of Kushtia carved on wood in the balconies and corridors around. In the first photograph you can see some scenes of boys playing on the field. And against that some objective path of freedom fighter period is presented. In the next photograph you can see the tradition of rural Bengal bullock carts and horse carts. And scenes of boats going down the river are carved on wood. There is also postage. And Lalan Fakir's human scene and some of his important sayings are recorded on wood. In fact, if you want to see Kushtia at a glance, want to understand and know, then you will know everything when you visit Kushtia Municipality.

If you walk around the Kushtia Municipal Square, you will see the portrait of thousands of years of history. It is notable among them fishing in different ways. The palanquin is the most visible piece of history. In this era, many of us may not be familiar with Palki, but have heard and seen it through photography or people's mouths. But earlier the bride used to travel in palanquin with 6 beharas. A very beautiful portrait of it is made in the Kushtia Municipal Square.

If you are visiting Kushtia Municipality, you should at least think about the Municipal Dog Square. Decorated with flowers and fruit trees wrapped in green greenery. There is a seating area around the pond. On the north side of the pond of Kushtia municipality there is a big banyan tree of thousand years. There are seating areas surrounded by banyan trees where you can cool your mind if you sit for some time. At times, chanting started in the banyan tree square and thousands of people started gathering. Just as Kushtia is steeped in tradition, the municipality is steeped in tradition. However, today I tried to show you a few photographs and some words about Kushtia Municipality, I hope you will like it.
