Exploring The India Gate, a memorial constructed in memory of the thousands of unsung soldiers Mother India lost in the First World War, the Northwest Frontier, and the Third Afghan War.

A region that is the capital of the country, where nothing ends and neither does time, whether it be happiness or grief... a place with a huge population, a huge diversity, and a huge culture.

So here we are!
Delhi, the nation's capital, is well known for its historic Mughal structures, which are significant to India's history. Delhi combines elements of old and modern culture .

Despite the fact that it was a Sunday and I had a busy academic schedule at the university, it was a beautiful, sunny, and warm Delhi-style morning as I arrived at the Saheed Sathal Metro station in Ghaziabad. I made the decision to break out from that, explore the area, and share my experiences with you guys.

IMG_1041 Large.jpeg
Around eleven in the morning, I began my journey toward Delhi, the capital of India. At the metro station, there was a long line for the luggage check.

IMG_1042 Large.jpeg
It took close to 10 minutes to complete all these procedures. To be honest, I was extremely excited to explore the location alone because, other from the mountains, it was a completely new spot for me to visit and explore.

IMG_1044 Large.jpeg
View as glimpsed from Ghaziabad's Saheed Sathal Metro Station.

IMG_1046 Large.jpeg
Meto finally arrived after some time spent waiting in the waiting area. I hastily found a seat because there was still much of the voyage to go.

IMG_1048 Large.jpeg
After almost an hour of travel, I finally arrived at Kashmiri Gate Metro Station, from whence I would need to catch another metro to get to my intended destination for the day.

IMG_1055 Large.jpeg
When I initially arrived in Lajpat Nagar, I was astounded by how crowded the neighbourhood was. To be honest, I was unsure of whom to see and which area of the neighbourhood to explore.

IMG_1056 Large.jpeg
Seeing the street of Lajpat nagar for the first time I was so amazed to see as how busy the life at this place was, to be frank I was like whom to see and which corner of this place to explore.

IMG_1062 Large.jpeg
Took a picture of a plane that I noticed flying over the area where I was.

IMG_1067 2 Large.jpeg
In the highlands where I used to reside, it was never this busy, so for me to witness it and share my experiences with you guys was such a great experience. Being on the busiest street of the neighbourhood market in a location that was completely unfamiliar to me was a very different experience.

IMG_1070 3 Large.jpeg
Finally I was getting close to my destination guys. I finally reached Pandara Road which was named after the honour of Pandavas of Mahabaharata in the Indian History. As per the real name of this road road it is said that as per an ancient map of Delhi a mistake had been made in the spelling of Panda'v'a and named it Pandara.

IMG_1071 3 Large.jpeg
While walking down the Pandara Road, I noticed Indian flags hanging in several Delhi neighbourhoods, demonstrating the people's patriotism in the nation's capital.

IMG_1072 3 Large.jpeg
By the side of Pandara Road, there were a lot of excellent restaurants. Making it an excellent location for foodies to visit and try various cuisines.

IMG_1073 3 Large.jpeg
Spotted a sign indicating my location while I was moving in that direction. It was The India Gate which was constructed as a memorial for the lives of 70,000 Indian soldiers who died while fighting for the British Army in World War I.

IMG_1077 3 Large.jpeg
After a short while wandering through Pandara Road's streets, I eventually came across a busy highway that I had to cross in order to get to the main gate that would lead me to my intended destination for today.

IMG_1087 3 Large.jpeg
After passing through the main entrance gate, one is directed toward the road leading to the magnificent India Gate. The view of the entry place was something just like this, A Huge magnificent statue was seen at the front of the entry gate and just right towards it was situated the Magnificent India Gate.

IMG_1098 3 Large.jpeg
After proceeding directly toward the Path. The Rashtrapati Bhavan, the India Gate, and the monument of Neta ji were all lined up in a straight line, and a massive, Splendid statue of Neta ji Subhash Chandra Bose was placed there.

IMG_1157 3 Large.jpeg
The sky was breathtaking, and it was the most ideal moment for me to visit this location since the evening colours in the atmosphere were apparent and the sky was around 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

IMG_1092 3 Large.jpeg
After a short distance, turn right in the direction of Subhash Chandra Bose's statue. It was breathtaking to see the enormous India Gate rising so far into the sky.

IMG_1145 3 Large.jpeg
A memorial built in honour of the 70,000 Indian soldiers who gave their lives fighting for the British Army in World War I, this historical site is regarded as a significant location for every individual of the nation and every individual of the entire world who believes in humanity.*

IMG_1101 3 Large.jpeg
After spending the entire day travelling and seeing many things, being here was simply so serene. I was astonished by the passion and affection that each person in this location had for their country and for mankind as a whole.

IMG_1121 3 Large.jpeg
Just take a moment to admire the grandeur of this majestic monument, which bears the names of the valiant warriors who died while serving with the British Army in World War I, engraved on its brick.

IMG_1143 3 Large.jpeg
Just take a look at how Neetaji Subhash Chantra Bose's statue is rigidly touching the heavenly sky that is awash in a rainbow of colours of the magical evening of Delhi.

IMG_1148 3 Large.jpeg
I spotted many individuals relaxing on the lush green grass and spending the evening with their loved ones in this serene setting as I wandered along India Gate's lovely promenade.

IMG_1151 3 Large.jpeg
As shown in this photo, cannales were constructed along the route to further enhance the beauty of the area. The Kartavya Path's canals are a favourite destination for tourists. The area around the canals lacked the necessary public facilities. Additionally, it was unpaved, which hurt the grass.

IMG_1155 3 Large.jpeg
The water's edge is now accessible thanks to the addition of paved pathways along the canals.

IMG_1245 3 Large.jpeg
For simple pedestrian mobility while yet preserving the existing tree lines, these are connected with the paths over the lawns.

IMG_1253 3 Large.jpeg
Along these paths, public facilities like sandstone tenches, attractive trash cans, and signs have been placed at regular intervals.

IMG_1144 3 Large.jpeg

IMG_1162 3 Large.jpeg
The Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, and the enormous monument of Neetaji Subhash Chandra Bose are all located above the Kartavya Path, which is a highly regarded public promenade and the location for significant national events. Kartavya Path's infrastructure needed upgrading, restoration, and renovation, and its public amenities were subpar.

IMG_1173 3 Large.jpeg

The Kartavya Path development project includes the renovation and improvement of the grounds. To avoid water fogging, two appropriate grass types have been planted, and efficient drainage has been incorporated. To increase accessibility, stone seats, trash cans, and concrete walkways are placed periodically. All interventions are planned while taking into consideration the existing trees.

IMG_1203 3 Large.jpeg
Kartavya Path currently has the infrastructure and technology required for public usage and big-scale events.

IMG_1205 3 Large.jpeg
Non-slip granite has been used to pave pedestrian walkways. The integration of services underground, the appropriate retrofitting of the old light poles, and the addition of new poles when necessary.
IMG_1222 3 Large.jpeg
The chain links have been repaired, and concrete bollards have been swapped out for white sandstone ones in order to preserve the Kartavya Path's original character.

IMG_1228 3 Large.jpeg
The lawns around India Gate and Kartavya Path were not meant for significant public usage; instead, they were created as formal gardens. They had been highly strained and harmed over time.
