Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
We have been having beautiful sunny weather here in the Czech Republic for quite a few days already so we took advantage of it and went for a nice hike in the Jeseniky Mountains on Sunday. For the most part, we were hiking around the renowned Bila Opava Valley where I also took most of the photos that day but before I get to edit them and make them ready for a post, let me take you to one of the highlights of our trip - the Praded Mountain.
Towering 1,492 m (4,895 ft) above the sea level, Praded is the highest peak of the Jeseniky Mountains, the second highest mountain range of the Czech Republic. Climbing up the hill comes with some spectacular views of the surrounding landscape so let me share a few panoramic shots that I took there.
On the top of the mountain, there is a television transmitter. In the base of the tower, there is a little hotel and a restaurant. The middle part of the tower houses a lookout platform. The very top of the transmitter is located some 1,638 m (5,374 ft) above the sea level, which is also the very highest point of the whole country.
I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek into the beauty of the Jeseniky Mountains. If you did, stay tuned for the next post that will cover the Bila Opava Valley hike. A lot of nice natural photos will be included of course ;)
