Good day community

Valladolid is located in the north of the country in the centre of the autonomous community of Castile and Leon. In a landscape of plains such as this region of the country, the city tells many stories of its past and is an important crossroads within the transit routes throughout the history of Spain, even becoming the political capital in the time of Charles I until later the capital of the country was moved to Madrid. One of the events that I discovered about the city by asking the locals is that the wedding of the Catholic kings was celebrated there, an event that marked and changed the course of this country. The entrance to the capital of the province that takes its name leads me along a very wide street, with service and management buildings since a large part of the institutions of the autonomous community have their headquarters here. Before crossing the bridges that divide the city, over the Pisuerga River, it is clearly evident that Valladolid presents a strategic and physical division between its newer part and its historic center and old town center.

Valladolid está situada al norte del país en el centro de la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. En un paisaje de llanuras como es esta región del país la ciudad cuanta muchas historias de su pasado y es un cruce de caminos importantes dentro de las rutas de transito a lo largo de la historia en España, llegando a ser incluso capital política en el tiempo de Carlos I hasta que posteriormente la capital de el país fue trasladada a Madrid. Uno de los acontecimientos que preguntando a los lugareños descubrí de la ciudad es que en ella se celebro la boda de los reyes católicos, acontecimiento que marco y cambio el rumbo de este país. La entrada a la capital de la provincia que toma su mismo nombre me dirige por una calle muy amplia, con edificios de servicios y gestiones ya que gran parte de las instituciones de la comunidad autonómica tiene aquí su sede. Antes de cruzar los puentes que dividen la ciudad, por el río Pisuerga, se evidencia claramente que Valladolid presenta una división estratégica y física entre su parte más nueva y su casco histórico y centro antiguo de la villa.

The rivers Pisuerga and Esgueva that flow into the main river Duero divide the city into its two visitable hemispheres. The banks and the walk along the river are very well maintained and a large part of the inhabitants of Valladolid enjoy the sporting and recreational activities that this area of the banks houses. As it passes through the city, the river is calm and allows you to navigate it by boat and for photography, this appearance of apparently still waters makes it easy to take some really beautiful and descriptive images and their reflections. The parks that can be seen on these banks are populated with different types and varieties of trees and plants that give it a natural richness that adds colour and strength to this whole complex.

Los ríos Pisuerga y el Esgueva que desembocan en el principal río Duero dividen a la ciudad en sus dos hemisferios visitables. Las márgenes y el paseo por el rio están muy cuidados y gran parte de los habitantes de Valladolid disfrutan de las actividades deportivas y de recreo que albergan esta zona de los márgenes. A su paso por la ciudad en río pasa tranquilo y permite navegar por él en barca y para la fotografía que presente este aspecto de aguas aparentemente inmóviles facilita tomar algunas imágenes y sus reflejos realmente bellos y descriptivos. Los parques que se observan en estas orillas están poblados con distintos tipos y variedades de árboles y plantas los que le dan una riqueza natural que aporta color y fuerza a todo este conjunto.

Also known as Pucela, the city of Valladolid takes us through its colorful streets to its main square where the main building of the city hall, with its beautiful colors, presides over this great urban complex in the center. I walked along a street with strong mustard and dark pink colors that combined with the whites, which highlighted the beauty of these facades and houses. In this particular area of the city I found many shops, bars and restaurants where they had their businesses. With a lot of entertainment and things to see, these streets introduced me to this active center of the life of this city, neighbors, tourists, students and military gave dynamism to the Pucelano lifestyle. I stopped to have a coffee on some terraces located in an area of arcades facing the facade of the city hall building where I tried a delicious chocolate and was able to talk to some people who live in Valladolid.

También conocida como Pucela la ciudad de Valladolid nos lleva por sus coloridas calles hasta su plaza mayor donde en edificio principal del ayuntamiento de la ciudad, con sus bellos colores, preside todo este gran conjunto urbano en el centro. Camine por una calle con fuertes colores mostaza y rosado oscuro que combinaban con los blancos, que hacían resaltar la belleza de estas fachadas y casas, en esta zona en concreto de la ciudad encontré muchos comercios, bares y restaurantes donde tenían sus negocios. Con mucho entretenimiento y cosas que ver estas calles me fueron introduciendo en ese centro activo por la vida de esta ciudad, vecinos, turistas, estudiantes y militares le daban dinamismo al estilo de vida Pucelano. Paré a tomar un café en unas terrazas situadas en una zona de soportales enfrentados a la fachada del edificio del ayuntamiento donde probé un delicioso chocolate y pude hablar con algunas personas que viven en Valladolid.

As with other city names, Valladolid could not be less and they also have sister cities with the same name in other countries. In these streets you can see the influence that the passage of time has had on the lifestyle and architecture of Valladolid. Every step I take through the centre is a new surprise and arriving at this old military barracks located next to a large garden and a beautiful fountain made me stop in this part of the city. I couldn't help but notice all the artistic and architectural details that in this part of the city caught my attention. I also noticed a detail and it was how well kept, clean and tidy the whole city was, I really liked this about this town.

Como sucede con otros nombres de ciudades Valladolid no podía ser menos y tienen también ciudades hermanas con su mismo nombre en otros países. En estas calles se pueden notar la influencia que el paso de los años han marcado el estilo de vida y arquitectura vallisoletana. El encuentro a cada paso que doy por el centro es una nueva sorpresa y la llegada a este antiguo cuartel militar situado al lado de un gran jardín y una hermosa fuente me detuvo en esta parte de la ciudad. No podía dejar de fijarme en todos los detalles artísticos y arquitectónicos que en este punto de la ciudad llamaban poderosamente mi atención. Me di cuenta también de un detalle y era lo bien cuidada, limpia y ordenada que estaba toda la ciudad, esto me gusto muchos de esta villa.
