This fairytale city located in Austria is one of the cities where the combination of culture, architecture and nature is all in one place, feelings and thoughts took me back to the past, but also fed me with the present, I got the impression that it hints at a bright future .
Somehow every part of this city exudes some strange energy, takes us back to the past somewhere in the 18th century, but still on the other hand I meet the harmony of the current modern period in which we live.
The city is surrounded by the Alps, and is located on the banks of the river Salzach, it got its famous name from the salt mines that are located in its vicinity, the translation itself means "salt castle".
In addition to all the attractions that this place offers, one of the most important is the birthplace of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This composer can be said to be a protective symbol of the city. Various traditional manifestations are organized in his part.
Today, his house is a beautiful museum with preserved objects used by this famous composer, while I was walking around the house of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, I listened to his excellent music, the most famous composer in Europe. Today, the citizens of Salzburg proudly pronounce his name.
The house of strong yellow color that dominates the city, is located in the main shopping street, it is impossible not to notice, along the way there are restaurants where you can refresh yourself with a drink after a walk around the city.
At the very entrance there is a portrait of Mozart and the steps to enter the museum. Unfortunately, photographing the interior is strictly forbidden, but I took one photo because I didn't know it was forbidden, so you can take a look at his famous piano and portrait in one room, at least for a moment. Of course, his famous instrument was the violin, which lies on the piano.
In addition to the violin and piano in his house are: his portraits and portraits of his family, various letters, details of former old furniture and even strands of hair.
While walking through the city, I noticed an interesting street, which dominates with its colorful facade, and many of them are decorated with fine ironwork signs with the inscription of each store there, also testify to a distant past that the inhabitants of these houses did in the distant past.
In addition to all these interesting things, narrow streets with beautiful facades and iron signs, here you can see small tents in the passage where there are various souvenirs, and even dolls that attract the eyes of tourists.
The oldest mill and bakery in the city of Salzburg:
In the old town there is the oldest bakery and mill, I was attracted by the smell of warm bread, which is still believed or not kneaded by hand as it used to be in the past.
What is most interesting is that the mill is right next to the bakery, which was built in the 12th century and despite the ravages of time that overwhelm it, it still stands proudly as a memory of the old past.
Wheat used to be ground in this mill, and it produced flour that was used to make bread in this bakery.
The very middle of the old town consists of the square with its residences, old and new, the old residence is a baroque building, which represents the very heart of the city.

On the crown of the new residence is a clock that performs beautiful melodies, which I could hear because I was in the square when the bell rang, essentially performing 40 different melodies.Today, this place houses a museum.
In front of the residences there is a fountain which is baroque in style and gives a rich look to the square.
This fountain is said to be one of the most beautiful works of Baroque architecture, with horses on it, then we can see giants carrying dolphins, and at the very top there is a sculpted figure of the sea god Triton.

The castle, which is located on the Festunsberg mountain as if overlooking the city, is dominant in relation to other fortresses located in the city, the castle is called Hohensalzburg, a huge building of large dimensions.
The castle is located on this place in the XI century, when its construction began, but it got its present appearance during all these years, various upgrades and expansions were made on it.
You can walk to the castle, but after a long walk and a tour of the city, I decided to take the cable car, the cable car transports tourists to the fortress every ten minutes, even though I still wanted to try this type of transport.
When we arrived upstairs, amazed by the view from the walls of the medieval castle, there is a wonderful view of the city and the nature that surrounds it.
