Travelling south from Sydney to Jindabyne we passed through some interesting country side.
The Snowy River Sphere just outside Cooma is the start of the Snowy River Shire and the start of our next little adventure.

Jindabyne town centre. I lived and worked 3 ski seasons many years ago at a hotel motel half way between this town and Australia's biggest ski resort. It always brings back some good memories revisiting the area to see what has changed.
We did a parkrun along this path last time we were here four years ago. The parkrun has moved just outside of town to the sport and recreation centre but should be back around the lake soon. We are here mid week this time so there will not be any parkruns here but I do hope to run this path a few times while we are here.

Sir Paul Edmund de Strzelecki explored and surveyed Snowy Mountains region, he also climbed and named Mount Kosciuszko.
I got a couple of afternoon runs in around the lakes and explored a few of the trails and tracks.

Mountain bike trails seem to be popping up everywhere and becoming very popular.
But we had come hoping for some early season snow.
I have snow boarded but prefer to ski.
