Hello everyone, I hope you are well 😊 Yesterday I had a super special night at the Leça do Balio medieval fair with my family. The temperature was very pleasant 😃 We loved the atmosphere, the stalls with crafts, the delicious food and we even saw some historical reenactments. It was a great opportunity for us to spend time together and enjoy the day. It's been a while since I had a family event like this and it was so good to relax and create new memories.

As soon as we entered the medieval fair in Leça do Balio, we were immediately greeted by a spectacle of colors and decorations. Colorful ribbons arranged everywhere, fun from one side to the other, creating a charming atmosphere. The feeling was of being on a true trip to the past, very beautiful.
The ribbons gave a special touch to the fair, they were in every corner. As soon as we entered, we immediately felt the medieval spirit with the vibrant colors dancing in the wind. The streets and stalls were all decorated, and this made everything even more magical and welcoming for visitors.
The most incredible thing was the attention to detail with the complements. Each street had a combination of ribbons, creating a unique atmosphere. It was impossible not to be enchanted by the scenery! The ribbons, along with the torches and flags, made the fair look even more authentic and festive.
Even before exploring the stalls, we were already enveloped by the impressive decoration. The colorful ribbons filled the eyes and gave the place a special energy. It was as if the party started right at the entrance. All that beauty made the walk through the fair even more pleasant and memorable.
At the fair, the artisans were the beating heart of the event. I was fascinated to see the dedication of those who work the iron. With skill and precision, they shaped metal into swords, armor and decorative objects. It was incredible to watch each successful strike on the red-hot iron, transforming it into true pieces of art.
I then passed a group of potters, where the clay was taking shape in their hands. The spinning wheel and fluid gestures created beautiful jugs and bowls. The patience and care in every detail showed that, even with ancient techniques, the art of ceramics is still alive. Each piece had a unique identity, created with love.
The wood craftsmen also caught my attention. I saw sculptors carving religious images, rustic movements and antique toys. They used simple tools, but their precision was impressive. It was easy to see that each blow on the wooden trunk was made with complete intention and respect for natural materials.
One of my favorite moments was meeting the weavers. The sound of tears working in a constant rhythm and the vibrant colors of the intertwined threads created a mesmerizing scene. You can see beautiful tapestries, blankets and clothes being made by hand, just like in medieval times. Each piece seemed to tell an ancient story.
The goldsmiths also had their shine. I saw how gold and silver were transformed into delicate jewels, each more beautiful than the last. Some pieces were so made that it seemed impossible to have been made by hand. It was incredible to see how traditional jewelry techniques continue to fascinate.
Then I met the leather craftsmen, who transformed skins into bags, belts and changing rooms. The seams were impeccable, and the designs engraved on the leather revealed enormous creativity. I asked one of them about the process, and he explained that, although time-consuming, each piece was made to last a lifetime.
One of the most curious stands was that of musical instrument manufacturers. There were wooden flutes, leather drums and even bagpipes, all handmade. The perfection of the children issued showed that these arts dominated both the art of construction and that of music. Listening to medieval children made me feel like I was in another time.

At medieval fairs, what I like most are the shows. I value their profession a lot, they make people vibrate with their performance.

Olá a todos, espero que estejam bem 😊 Ontem tive uma noite super especial na feira medieval de Leça do Balio com a minha família. A temperatura estava muito agradável 😃 Adoramos o ambiente, as barracas com artesanato, a comida deliciosa e ainda vimos algumas reconstituições históricas. Foi uma ótima oportunidade para passarmos um tempo juntos e aproveitar o dia. Já há algum tempo que não realizava um evento familiar como este e foi tão bom relaxar e criar novas memórias.
A entrada na feira medieval de Leça do Balio custa apenas 2€, super acessível! E para quem quis aproveitar os 5 dias de evento, a pulseira custou apenas 5€. Vale muito a pena, é um programa divertido para toda a família! 😉
Assim que entrámos na feira medieval de Leça do Balio, fomos imediatamente recebidos por um espetáculo de cores e decorações. Fitas coloridas dispostas por todos os lados, divertidas de um lado ao outro, criando um ambiente charmoso. A sensação foi de estar numa verdadeira viagem ao passado, muito linda.
As fitas deram um toque especial à feira, estavam em todos os cantos. Assim que entramos, sentimos imediatamente o espírito medieval com as cores vibrantes dançando ao vento. As ruas e barracas foram todas decoradas, e isso deixou tudo ainda mais mágico e acolhedor para os visitantes.
O mais incrível foi a atenção aos detalhes com os complementos. Cada rua tinha uma combinação de fitas, criando uma atmosfera única. Foi impossível não se encantar com a paisagem! As fitas, juntamente com as tochas e bandeiras, deixaram a feira ainda mais autêntica e festiva.
Antes mesmo de explorar as bancas já estávamos envolvidos pela impressionante decoração. As fitas coloridas encheram os olhos e deram uma energia especial ao local. Era como se a festa começasse logo na entrada. Toda aquela beleza tornou o passeio pela feira ainda mais agradável e memorável.
Na feira, os artesãos foram o coração do evento. Fiquei fascinado ao ver a dedicação de quem trabalha o ferro. Com habilidade e precisão, eles moldaram o metal em espadas, armaduras e objetos decorativos. Foi incrível observar cada golpe bem-sucedido no ferro em brasa, transformando-o em verdadeiras obras de arte.
Passei então por um grupo de oleiros, onde o barro ia ganhando forma nas suas mãos. A roda giratória e os gestos fluidos criaram lindos jarros e tigelas. A paciência e o cuidado em cada detalhe mostraram que, mesmo com técnicas antigas, a arte da cerâmica ainda está viva. Cada peça tinha uma identidade única, criada com amor.
Os artesãos da madeira também me chamaram a atenção. Vi escultores esculpindo imagens religiosas, movimentos rústicos e brinquedos antigos. Eles usaram ferramentas simples, mas sua precisão foi impressionante. Foi fácil perceber que cada golpe no tronco de madeira foi feito com total intenção e respeito aos materiais naturais.
Um dos meus momentos favoritos foi conhecer os tecelões. O som das lágrimas trabalhando em ritmo constante e as cores vibrantes dos fios entrelaçados criaram uma cena hipnotizante. Você pode ver lindas tapeçarias, cobertores e roupas feitas à mão, como na época medieval. Cada peça parecia contar uma história antiga.
Os ourives também brilharam. Vi como o ouro e a prata se transformavam em joias delicadas, cada uma mais bonita que a anterior. Algumas peças foram feitas de tal forma que parecia impossível ter sido feita à mão. Foi incrível ver como as técnicas tradicionais de joalheria continuam a fascinar.
Depois conheci os artesãos do couro, que transformavam as peles em bolsas, cintos e vestiários. As costuras estavam impecáveis e os desenhos gravados na pele revelavam uma enorme criatividade. Perguntei a um deles sobre o processo e ele explicou que, embora demorado, cada peça foi feita para durar a vida toda.
Uma das barracas mais curiosas foi a dos fabricantes de instrumentos musicais. Havia flautas de madeira, tambores de couro e até gaitas de foles, tudo feito à mão. A perfeição das crianças emitidas mostrou que estas artes dominavam tanto a arte da construção como a da música. Ouvir crianças medievais me fez sentir como se estivesse em outra época.

Nas feiras medievais o que mais gosto são os espetáculos. Valorizo muito a profissão deles, eles fazem as pessoas vibrarem com sua atuação.
