How are you my beloved hive friends, I am very happy to be with you all, even though we are from different places but we always share articles on hive, I really miss you all, and I hope that all hive friends are in good health and always in the protection of the almighty . In my days when I open hives I am very happy to see posts that friends have shared, I am very entertained and also add insight.
Praise be to God who has given blessings and health so that we can re-share posts on hive on this happy occasion. First of all, I would like to thank the honorable ones, namely all hive friends wherever they are.
On this occasion I want to share some posts that I have prepared, namely posts about my activities this morning. I and a number of students who carried out the practical activity this morning carried out the activity of harvesting red tilapia seeds. We do this activity starting from the morning and ready in the afternoon.
In the area where we live red tilapia is very popular among the people, because this fish has a very good taste. We sell red tilapia seeds to people who are active in the fisheries sector for enlargement. In the fish nursery where we work, there are several fish commodities that we do semi-cultured, and the broodstock we provide already have good certificates.
We do the spawning using a spawning system in a happa net, to make harvesting easier. Harvesting is done after 21 days after spawning. When we harvest, sometimes there are still mothers who still have eggs in their mouths but not many still have eggs, others have released their larvae. Here I have prepared the eggs that are still in the mouth of the tilapia.
The students who practice at our place are students from Syiah Kuala University in Aceh, they have been practicing here for almost a month. We are very happy with their arrival to our place. They here take several titles in their practice activities, one of which is red tilapia spawning.
The way we carry out harvesting activities is by shifting the happa nets or narrowing the happa nets so that it is easy to take the broodstock and larvae. if the size of the happa is narrow, we move the parent to the side and we take the seeds using a scoop to do nursery in the pond that we have prepared.
In the world of fisheries, there is a huge potential that we can develop, both freshwater and seawater commodities. The Fish Seed Center where we work is only fresh water commodities. This Fish Seed Center is one of the freshwater fish seed centers under the auspices of the North Aceh Fisheries Service. This is the only article that I can share on this occasion, hopefully it will be useful for all of us, and most specifically the knowledge that is in our place can be useful for students who do practice.
