Happy weekend everyone!
With all this cold in Eastern Europe, I often dream of warmer places and destinations. And my thoughts brought me back to this wonderful place in British Columbia, Canada.
When you travel to a new place, you can only know that place by walking. Taking one by one steps, enjoying the view, the people, the culture.
So that's exactly what I did here, in Vancouver 🏙️🏢. I visited many beautiful places in this amazing city, including Stanley Park Lost Lagoon & Seawall, Coal Harbour, Burnaby Street, English Bay and Sunset Beach, and so many more.
This post is about Kitsilano Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Vancouver.
The beach is home to the longest swimming pool in Canada. I really loved that turquise blue water color. It was June when I visited, so there were a bunch of people at that pool, also the beach.
Kitsilano beach is also known as "Kits" Beach.
Right before the beach, there is a large park, including a playground for the little children! I loved it!
In the park were so many people (of all ages), some were reading and studying, others were spending time together and socializing, some were playing games.
The atmosphere was so cool. The weather was also perfect!

The beach is surrounded by restaurants, so there are plenty of options.
We had lunch at LOCAL Public Eatery, which is right across the beach.
I had fish and chips and my husband had salmon on mashed potato bed with some salad on top and a very nice sauce (I dont remember how it was called).
The beach offers panoramic views of downtown Vancouver, Burrard Inlet, and the North Shore Mountains.
The walk along the beach was super relaxing. The view is fantastic. The boats can be seen on the ocean passing by. ⛵
I LOVED the large logs found ont he beach. I noticed that same logs can be found also on Sunset beach and English Bay, so I guess it's part of the 'design' on city's beaches. Actually Kits beach faces out onto English Bay.
I love Vancouver's coastline. I regret not coming here for a day, spending time at the beach, like real beach time. Maybe next time I'll be here! Can't wait 💙
There is a pathway along the beach (next to the pool) that leads along the coast past the Kisilano yacht club.
Hope you enjoyed this virtual long walk with me.
Next, I'll share with you English Bay and Sunset Beach here in Vancouver! Sorry guys, but I am in love with this town!
Love, missdeli
