Last day...

....of vacation. 🌄

Last day spent away from home. After three and a half weeks, tonight we're going back home. This holiday was definitely enjoyed. It may possibly be our last vacation this year because there are some other important things we need to take care until the year ends.

However, I hope we'll have at least another weekend to spend somewhere away form home, on a lake house, a citybreak or somewhere. What can I do? I never get bored of vacations...who does? 😅

Current mood: ☕️
Coffee, Mountain View 🌄 & Morning Sun Kiss 🌞

This last week (5-6 days) we spent it at a resort here in Romania, I already wrote about it before.
It's called Balvanyos Resort, a 4 star Hotel and Spa, deep in the forests in Central Romania, Covasna County.

The only difference was that this time we stayed in the newest building of the hotel, another part of the hotel they have built and opened tot the public this July.

This time spent here was mostly for recreation, relax, sleeping in as much as possible, enjoying breakfast you didnt make 😅, eating out. You know how it is when going on a resort.
My forever favorite part is staying on the balcony and enjoying the view, the cold-warm sun light and when at the mountain, the nice cool air. That's me!

Kids Pool

The resort is kids friendly. Actually, they have Two Spa Zones. One called Adults Only (+14 yrs old) and one called Kids Friendly.
I mostly stayed in the Kids area. But dont imagine there are just small pools for kids. In fact they have a cool swimming pool and a beautiful outdoor terrace with lots of sunbeds and a mountain view.

My kid was happy here and because he's taking swimming lessons since spring he wanted to have fun in the big pool and practice the new abilities he got lately.

I didnt take any photos on the Adult Spa Only because I already shared those before. You can take a look on my old post about Balvanyos Resort.

Aventura Park for Kids

We took a few hours to spend with Caleb in this Aventura Park, located just near by the hotel.
There is always someone to help with thr equipment and give all the guidlines kids need.
I stayed there for the entire time my child went on those routes. I was happy seeing him soo happy going into an adventure. He likes this kind of outdoor activities.

Three hours costs around 10 euros or 11 US dollars.

Outdoor walking and enjoy the fresh air

You can take short walks around the hotel aNd beyond, but we arent too adventurous here because there are bears in the area. We saw a few with our own eyes. So our walk was a 15 min walk around the hotel. We mainly stayed in the same spot in order to enjoy the air, the view, the nature itself.

Here are some photos taken these days. This is how it looks in September.

Restaurants and Food

There are a few option to eat at.

  • Forest Restaurant
  • Fine Dining Fork Restaurant
  • Gastro Lab
  • Bundaberry Pizza

The breakfast is included in the price and its diverse enough.

We had both bad and great food experiences along the years, but overall I dont complain at all. Some foods we had before now arent that delicious anymore and others that we have tried before and didnt like now they are better. The staff is 90% ok, in this new building we were this last time they are more friendly.

I dont want to insist on food photos, but I'll share a few along with the entry lobby.

The new building of the Resort is called Peakture Hotel. In the last four years, we came here 5 times: June, 2x February, March and now September.
(3 times with kid, 2 times without)

Our favorite season of the year is Winter. It's much more cozy. We love it, both me and my husband.
And to be honest, we find it more relaxing when we're just the two of us.

Me and little one played rummy, went for an icecream, stayed on the balcony together... it was relaxing overall.

The vacation is really over now! 😒
I will share some more with you once I get home and get back into my daily routine and all things are settled!

Have a lovely day,

Missdeli 🥰
