I am very happy that today when I got up I went to my pc, I went to check my beehive page, checking a little my blog and the communities, by chance in life I found this wonderful contest, although it is the last day of its phase, I go to do my best to participate, I am a person who fascinates me to travel, but today it is impossible due to the situation that we live in my country Venezuela and it is even more difficult caused by the COVI-19 pandemic, which is hitting the whole world, Winning this award would be spectacular since I dream and I would love to repeat a trip that I did a long time ago and it was very fast and I did not enjoy it at all. I would love to travel to Chile again, especially Easter Island. Chile is a South American country located on the edge and coast of the Pacific Ocean. Its capital is Santiago de Chile, which is anchored in a beautiful valley surrounded by the Cordillera de la Costa.
Getting to Easter Island is expensive and somewhat difficult, motivated by its remote location in the Pacific Ocean but when to arrive and enjoy this beautiful view of this archaeological place with a large number of gigantic volcanic stone statues, known as moais and a history of some inhabitants who were about to disappear, have originated the myth of this island. Its native name is Rapa Nui. Moai are carved human figures with oversized heads, often supported by massive stone pedestals. In addition, you can enjoy exuberant nature even with beaches and volcanoes. There is only one city on the island, Hanga Roa, where you can find practically all the hotels, restaurants and other services: ATMs, internet connection, etc. More than a third of the island is a natural park, the Rapa Nui National Park.
Easter Island, like any other island, can only be reached in two ways: by water or by air. By water it can be on a cruise, there are some that make a stop on the island. These are ships that go around the world or that link Polynesia or Australia. The other option is by plane, as we arrive, from Santiago de Chile or Tahiti. They are the only two places with flights to Easter Island.
In this place there is no public transport to move around the interior of the island, so it is advisable and to know the most popular corners is to hire excursions in Easter Island that, in addition to taking you to the different points, the guides explain the history of the Rapanui culture and its archaeological remains, in case you want to visit it on your own there are rental cars and motorcycles or taxis. The walk is fascinating and being able to enjoy each of these natural beauties and learn a little more about their culture and traditions. The locals still preserve and practice the customs of their ancestors such as dances such as
The Tapati, which is the most important cultural festival on the island and one of the most outstanding in all of Polynesia, which is celebrated every year during the first half of February.
and the typical food of the island is based mainly on marine products, such as fish and shellfish. Bananas, pineapple, sugar cane, and sweet potatoes are also widely consumed. I hope to have that second opportunity to travel to that spectacular and mystical place to fully enjoy it with enough time to know the names of each image, get closer to the nearby volcanoes that remain inactive and enjoy the beaches that are white sands and crystalline waters
RECOMMENDATIONS:
