With Christmas just around the corner, I want to share with you a the visit I made to Budapest in 2015 during the Christmas period.
At first I didn't understand why it is nicknamed the Paris of the East, but when you start walking through its streets, you can't help but admire its charm and its elegance, and you understand why ..

Con natale alle porte, voglio condividere con voi un la visita che feci a Budapest nel 2015 proprio nel periodo natalizio.
All'inizio non capivo perchè viene soprannominata la Parigi dell'Est, ma quando cominci a camminare per le sue vie, non puoi che ammirare il suo fascino e la sua eleganza, e li capisci perchè..
Hungarian Parliament
Founded by the Celts, conquered by the Romans (enticed by its thermal waters) later invaded by the Turks and liberated by the Hapsburgs,
udapest is the merger of two cities Buda (the city above) and Pest (the city below). These two cities were divided facing each other, divided by the Danube River. After the reconquest of the two cities by the Austro-Hungarian troops, Budapest was officially born in 1873.
Fondata dai Celti, concquistata dai Romani (ingolositi dalle sue acque termali), invasa poi dai turchi e liberata dai Asburghi, Budapest è la fusone di due città Buda (la città di sopra) e Pest (la città di sotto). Queste due città erano divise una di fronte all'altra, divise dal fiume Danubio. Dopo la riconquista delle due città dalle truppe Austroungariche, nel 1873 nasce ufficialmente Budapest.
Later, badly damaged during the Soviet winter siege following, the city was rebuilt after the war. In 1956 the city was one of the major theaters of the Hungarian revolt and the resulting clashes between the population and the Soviet troops, which led to the defeat of the insurgents and repression. After the fall of the communist regime (1989), Budapest has re-established its traditional economic and cultural ties with Western Europe, placing itself as the leader in the tumultuous passage to the capitalism of the former socialist central European countries.
In seguito, Danneggiata gravemente durante l’assedio sovietico dell’inverno seguente, la città fu ricostruita nel dopoguerra. Nel 1956 la città fu uno dei maggiori teatri della rivolta d’Ungheria e dei conseguenti scontri tra la popolazione e le truppe sovietiche, che portarono alla sconfitta degli insorti e alla repressione. Dopo la caduta del regime comunista (1989), Budapest ha riallacciato i suoi tradizionali legami economici e culturali con l’Europa occidentale, ponendosi come capofila nel tumultuoso passaggio al capitalismo dei paesi centro europei ex socialisti.

Si sa, il periodo natalizio è magico per tutti, e i mercatini di natale
tingono le città di un atmosfera di festa sempre nuova!
I don't know how many foods I ate, but if you go to Budapest don't escape the "Goulash" (a meat soup) and the "Kurtoskalacs" a rolled brioche cake, brushed with butter, baked in the oven or on charcoal and sprinkled with sugar. Simple, but very good !!
Non so quanti cibi ho mangiato, ma se fate un salto a Budapest non fatevi scappare il "Goulash" (una zuppa a base di carne) e il "Kurtoskalacs" un dolce di pan brioches arrotolata, spennelato con burro, cotti in forno o sulla carbonella e cosparsi di zucchero. Semplice, ma buonissimo!!

We walked through the streets of Buda to reach the famous viewpoint
"Fishermen's Bastion". From here you can admire Pest, the Danube and the Parliament Hungarian. A structure of inestimable value that still bears witness to its grandeur of the old Austro-Hungarian Empire. The largest parliament in the world after that of Bucarest.
Abbiamo passeggiato per le strade di Buda per giungere sul famoso punto panoramico"Bastione dei pescatori". Da qui potete ammirare Pest, il Danubio e il Parlamento Ungherese. Una struttura di inestimabile valore che testimonia tutt'oggi l'imponenza del vecchio impero austro-ungarico. Il piu grande Parlamento al mondo dopo quello di Bucarest.
Holocaust Memorial Center
While visiting the city, we visited the "Holocaust Memorial Center". A horrendous page in recent European history is undoubtedly the occupation German ... During the Second World War they were only deported from Budapest, about 80,000 Jews. Despite the massive massacre, Budapest is still there today European city with the highest percentage of Jewish population.
Durante la visita della città, abbiamo visitato il "Holocaust Memorial Center". Una pagina orrenda della storia recente Europea è senza dubbio l'occupazione Tedesca... Durante la seconda guerra mondiale vennero deportati solo da Budapest, circa 80000 ebrei. Nonostante l’enorme massacro, Budapest è ancor oggi la città europea con la maggior percentuale di popolazione ebraica.
Heroes square
I close this article, with the square, perhaps the most beautiful and representative of Budapest: "heroes square". The central area of Heroes' Square houses the Millennium Monument with the statues of the chiefs of the seven tribes who founded Hungary at the end of the 9th century and other standing statues of History of Hungary.
Chiudo questo articolo, con la piazza, forse piu belle e rappresentative di Budapest: "piazza degli eroi". L'area centrale della Piazza degli Eroi ospita il Monumento del Millenario con le statue dei capi delle sette tribù che hanno fondato l'Ungheria alla fine del IX secolo ed altre statue rappresentate in piedi della Storia dell'Ungheria.
