The year 2022 is about to end, and a new era is about to begin. What better way to celebrate the end of 2022 than with a compilation of my best travel destinations?
In this post, I'll be sharing my TOP 5 TRAVEL DESTINATIONS that I visited this year.
Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu Philippines
On the 25th anniversary of my parents' marriage, we decided to celebrate in Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu Philippines.
We booked a family room and were treated like royalty by the staff. The hotel itself was beautiful and spacious, with a pool and spa on site. I felt like I had stepped into a different world when I entered this suite.
The food was amazing! They had everything from local Cebu dishes to Western favorites. The service was impeccable, even if we were the only guests at one point.
It was an unforgettable experience that we will always remember!
Canyoneering in Badian, Cebu Philippines
Badian is a small town located on the southern part of Cebu island. It is one of the oldest towns in Cebu province and has a rich history dating back to before Spanish colonization.
There are many things to do in Badian, but canyoneering was one of our top priorities.

We had a blast canyoneering with family and friends! The Kawasan falls was a perfect place to do some canyoneering. We had a great time exploring the gorge and trying to find our way down the river by JUMPING OFF CLIFFS! And for the record, My 8-year-old-sister wasn't even scared of such experience, kudos to our brave and mighty tour guides for ensuring our safety.
Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa
We stayed at Parklane Bohol Resort and Spa for 2 days and had a great time. The resort is located in Bohol, Anda Philippines. It's a very quiet area with a beautiful beach and lots of palm trees. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with views of the ocean or gardens from every window. There were many activities to do like volleyball, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and lots of other fun things to do around the resort. Plus, there's free Wi-Fi throughout the resort so you can directly upload your photos on instagram hahaha

The staff are friendly and helpful, too! They will take care of any requests you have immediately so that you don't have to worry about anything. Over all, our experience was a 5-star worthy.
Oslob,Tan-awan Cebu, Philippines
Oslob is a small town on Cebu Island in the Philippines. The town is home to whale sharks, and you can see them up close! It's an incredible way to spend a day.

The best part about whale watching is that you get to swim with the gentle giants, given if you're a good swimmer. Swimming alongside with Sandro, The biggest whale shark in Tan-awan, was my highlight for 2022.
After that, we chilled out at Tumalog Falls for the day. They have a very unique environment there—there are tons of trees, but also giant rocks and waterfalls everywhere you look.
Camiguin Island : The Island Born of Fire
I recently went on a trip with my family to Camiguin Island, the birthplace of my mom.
The island is considered one of the most beautiful destinations in the Philippines. It has a distinct culture, with several indigenous tribes that still live in their traditional homes and have retained many aspects of their ancient lifestyles.
We did a lot of hiking around the island, which we really enjoyed because it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There's also so much history here, including old churches and monuments that date back centuries.
It was great to see some friends and relatives that I hadn't seen since I was a child, as well as meet new ones!
I can't imagine a year without having to travel. The year 2022 taught me that life is meant for great adventures, and adventures are meant to ravel and rediscover our souls. In this busy world, we definitely deserve a breather and I am so lucky that I was able to travel with my friends and family.
I hope you travelers out there enjoyed my top 5 destinations. I might be making a part 2(?) because I still have more things to share. Can't wait for you guys to also travel to ravel. See you on the next one!
