The exhibition, located in one of the most important galleries in the city, was a celebration of six generations of potters. From the first of them, Don Modesto, who began this beautiful profession in the 19th century, to the current members of the family who continue the legacy, each was honored with photographs that captured them at work.

The gallery was filled with a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, where visitors could appreciate not only the craftsmanship of the Santender family, but also the connection they had with the history and culture of the region.
The gallery itself turned out to be charming. Despite being only a few blocks from my usual destinations, I had heard of it, as it is the most important gallery in the city. The carefully displayed works, I realized I had been missing out on a truly beautiful place.

La galería se llenó de un ambiente vibrante y enérgico, donde los visitantes podían apreciar no solo la destreza artesanal de la familia Santender, sino también la conexión que tenían con la historia y la cultura de la región.
La galería en sí misma resultó ser encantadora. A pesar de estar a solo unas cuadras de mis destinos habituales, había escuchado de ella, ya que es la galería más importante de la ciudad. Las obras cuidadosamente exhibidas, me di cuenta de que había estado perdiéndome un lugar verdaderamente hermoso.

This exhibition impressed me and there were several reasons. This exhibition began a few blocks away, where it started with Afro-Cuban dance and music. So many people were dancing behind these musicians. In addition, this family of artisans was given the deserved recognition. Many people went to this exhibition, perhaps influenced by the music or by what was exhibited, but the reality was that the experience was great.
Esta exposición me impresionó y fueron varios los motivos. Esta exposición empezó a unas cuadras, donde inició con baile y música afrocubana. Por lo que mucha gente fue bailando detrás de estos músicos. Además, se le daba el merecido reconocimiento a esta familia de artesanos. Fueron muchas personas a esta exposición, quizás influenciadas por la música o por lo expuesto, pero la realidad fue que la experiencia fue grandiosa.

All in all, the visit to this exhibition was more than just a glimpse of Cuban crafts and culture. For me, it is always a pleasure to enjoy places like these. The recognition of a lifetime dedicated to a profession, to an art.
En definitiva, la visita a esta exposición fue más que un simple vistazo a la artesanía y la cultura cubana. Para mí, siempre es un placer disfrutar de lugares como estos. El reconocimiento a toda una vida dedicada a una profesión, a un arte.
