A Trip to the Tri-border Point of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands with Fantastic Hive Community Members!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the 13th Meetup in Aachen, organized by @detlev. A day before the engaging presentations at the impressive Digital Church, we gathered at a unique geographical point that holds significant importance: the Three-Country Point, where the borders of Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium converge.

Our meeting at this symbolic location was marked by a special atmosphere. The participants included @detlev, @lizanomadsoul, @rivalzzz, @blkchn, and myself, @louis88. We seized the opportunity to raise the HIVE flag, symbolizing our community and solidarity.

This border point is not only geographically interesting but also a popular tourist destination. The Three-Country Point is located on the Vaalserberg, which, at 322.4 meters, is the highest point in the Dutch province of Limburg. Historically, it is notable as it represents the highest point in the European Netherlands.

After our symbolic act of raising the flag, we took a moment to relax at the adjacent restaurant. Here, we enjoyed the ambiance and the cultural diversity of the region. @detlev chose a delicious Le Chouffe, a Belgian beer known for its fruity and spicy notes. I opted for a non-alcoholic beer since I had to drive later.

Being at this unique location and engaging in conversations with like-minded enthusiasts was an enriching experience. The day provided not only an opportunity to network but also to appreciate the historical and cultural significance of the Three-Country Point. It was a perfect prelude to the Meetup and the stimulating discussions that followed at the Digital Church.

Of course, we didn't miss the chance to take some photos with the Hive flag at such a special location :) The other visitors were curious as well, wondering what new and exciting country HIVE was, seeing its flag proudly displayed here.

The wonderful @detlev, who carried the Hive flag to the second location, had a lot of fun doing so.

Even the merchandise from last year's HiveFest in Mexico made its way to the Dreiländereck and was presented by Detlev.

As the evening approached, we made our way to the outdoor terrace to enjoy the sunset. We treated ourselves to some drinks and a small bite to eat. It was incredibly pleasant to sit down with these wonderful people once again, having long, face-to-face conversations. We savored every moment, feeling thrilled and eagerly looking forward to the day ahead.
