Boutique Paradise Beach Resort in Western Ghana

In the past I have written about the Nzulezu Stilt Village in Ghana. This is where people live in a whole community built on stilts over the lake. As you can imagine sanitation and comfort are not big there so staying the night is not the best option for travelers to stay the night at the stilt village.

It is important to get an early start when going to the stilt village also. So it is advisable to stay somewhere near by. Luckily there is a beautiful option steps from where you would get on the canoe to go to the village. This is in the town of Beyin in the far Western Region of Ghana. This is not far from the border with Ivory Coast.

Beyin Beach Resort looks like it is out of a cut of the Ewalk village in star wars. There are a few rafia and thatch bungalows and a couple of chalets and a dormitory. The pathways are planked and raised over lush green grass with an abundance of plants around the gardens.

The restaurant features a few summer huts to sit in and connect with the outdoors while dinning and having drinks.

The over all grounds give you a feel of a rural village more than a resort.

I don't know why but I did not get a picture of the broad clean white sand beach here. But where the palm trees end the beach starts and the water was very shallow for a long ways out making it great for wadding and swimming.

This is one of the more expensive bungalows closest to the beach. It is very simple and rustic but comfortable and stylish.

There is even room for those on a budget with the dormitory room. It has everything you need for a nights rest, a bed, mosquito nets, outlets to charge your things and a bathroom and shower.

Like I said in the intro this is the main jumping off point for people to visit the stilt village and the wetlands and they have a great poster for that.

Every year the turtles come to lay their eggs here and it is important guests have some knowledge of this so this interpretative information is great.

I hope you all have a chance to visit one day also.
