Tra Ang Cave - A Beauty in old Jungle

You know that Quang Binh province, Vietnam is home to many of the world's top beautiful caves that are still pristine. According to statistics, there are more 350 caves have been discovered in the past 30 years. Of which, only more than 30 caves have been put into tourism operation. And nearly all of these beautiful caves are exclusive exploited by tour companies. If you explore as an individual, you will not be allowed. To explore the caves, you must book a tour through travel agencies

Last summer, after ending the first epidemic, the tourism and transportation industries suffered. At that time, many companies stimulated tourism demand to bring tourism back to normal status. Taking advantage of the summer vacation, I invited my friend to go to Quang Binh together in order to connect and expand my business. That's why I returned to Quang Binh after 4 years of visiting Phong Nha and Paradise caves.

In this trip, my aim is also to find intact places without human intervention so that I can organize such tours for tourists who love exploring tours. Tra Ang cave is one of the places I can choose to cooperate to bring visitors here.

Tra Ang is also one of the famous caves in Phong Nha with underground water flowing into streams. This is one of the caves with attractive natural scenery, the water in the cave is cool with an average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. In front of the cave is a very beautiful natural sand bank. Next to the sandy bank is Tra Ang stream, with a stream of water starting from the mouth of Tra Ang cave flowing parallel to 20 Quyet Thang Street, more than 4 kilometers long, then flowing underground into the Ke Bang limestone massif, merging with the Phong Nha underground river, then pour into Phong Nha cave. The cave has a length of 667 meters, an average width of 40-50 meters.

To get to this cave, you have to walk through the primeval forest nearly 2.5 kilometers. However, the trekking level is quite easy, children over 8 years old and women under 50 years old can go. Of course, if you want to explore here, you have to book a tour with a guider and supporters for your trip, so it is very comfortable. Feeling of walking through the jungle to reach a beautiful cave is truly an incomparable wonderful experience.

When you arrive, you will be served by a supporting team to set up tents, prepare lunch right at Tra Ang rocky bank, then you will be guided to the cave by the group. To explore Tra Ang cave, visitors will be equipped with helmets, life jackets, gloves to conquer a sharp and quite rough rocky bank then swim through the water of more than 600 meters to explore the mystery of the cave. Headlights of helmets will help you see the magnificent stalactites formed on the ceiling of the cave because the inside of the cave is extremely dark. If you turn off all the lights on your helmet, the cave will be pitch-black, giving you a feeling of both excitement and fear.

After visiting Trang An Cave, you will have lunch right by the stream, rest for a while and then continue to experience kayaking on a cool, clear stream in the afternoon. At around 15:30, you will enjoy hot tea or coffee after swimming. Prepare to trek back to the main road, get on the bus back to Phong Nha. Finish the trip.
