Whether it'd be a nature travel, or a beach travel, there's always something extraordinary, powerful, and relieving about getting away from the stressful life of the city. Whether you go hiking, trekking, or just simply having a picnic with your loved ones, with your friends, with your family, there is something in nature that simply soothes our soul.
Last weekend, me and my college friends had planned to have a quick vacation in nature, to destress and escape busy life in the city. We spent the night in an exclusive hotel resort in Brgy. Carmen, Baguio District, Davao City. The hotel resort is called PSALM 91 farm. It's like an hour and 10mins drive from my place. We don't have a private car, so the resort offered to pick us up from Calinan to the hotel, for 200php each, that's back and forth. So it's not bad.
This is the entrance to their hotel resort. The place is so colorful, and there's a lot of beautiful flowers surrounding it. I'm pretty sure they got the name of the hotel from the bible. The owners are really friendly, and accommodating by the way.
It was raining when we got there. We had coffee, and snacks, chitchatting with friends while enjoying our view and cold weather.
This is the room we rented for the night. We rented it for 5,500php, good for 5 people. We got lucky, you know why? One of my friends.. he paid more than half of the rent, so we didn't spend that much. hahaha This is the very generous friend of mine that I was talking about. By the way, this is not the whole room, there's also a kitchen and small bedroom. I wasn't able to take a photo of it cause I was enjoying the weather there. It was so cold and it was raining when we arrived there.

my mom used to have a plant like this. I wish I could bring my mom here, I'm pretty sure she'll love it.
Neomarcia Gracilis or Walking Iris.
This is my fave so far! I think it's my first time seeing this kind of flower. I really loved how it looks and the color of it.
Impatiens
Very simple yet alluring. Like me, JK! 😅I think there were 3 different colors of these. Purple, orange, and pink.
Cleome or Spider Flowers
The next day morning, me and my other two friends went to a small river near the hotel resort. Our plan was just to take photos, but we ended up doing river trekking.😂 We didn't go that far tho, it was just a mini trekking, cause we didn't have much time, we have to check out at 12noon, plus, my plus-sized friend didn't bring extra clothes. Hmmm, that was his excuse, but I think he was just scared of falling from the rocks.😂 To be honest, I was scared too. I wasn't prepared for it, life is unpredictable indeed. But this one friend of mine really pushed my limits. So I just did it. I used to love trekking, but I fcked up my knees, so I limit myself from doing those kind of stuff. That's also one of the main reasons why I got scared. hehehehe
This is how the mini river looks like. I can't remember when was the last time I bathe in a river. Bruh.. the water was soooooo cold. I really enjoyed it there!
Life is too short. Enjoy while you still can. Travel as much as you can. Don't be too hard on yourself! If you're feeling burnout, lean how to relax and unwind.
