Un saludo amigos de HIVE
In the following posts that I upload I am going to tell you about a trip that my girl and I took a few years ago. This is a Mediterranean cruise. Today I am going to talk about the first day of the cruise whose destination was the country of Tunisia whose capital has the same name and is located in the north of the African continent.
En los siguientes post que suba os voy a hablar de un viaje que hicimos mi chica y yo hace algunos años. Se trata de un crucero por el Mediterráneo. Hoy os voy a hablar del primer día de crucero cuyo destino fue el país de Túnez cuya capital tiene el mismo nombre y se sitúa al norte del continente africano.
To begin with, they picked us up in a bus and we were on the road for approximately 1 hour until we reached the city of Sidi Bou Said, without a doubt the most beautiful place we saw in the entire visit. The guide told us that it was the city where high-level people live, people with a lot of money, politicians, businessmen, etc... The truth is that everything was super careful, things were painted white with details in blue or gold and we loved it, also being a city on high, we had views of the entire Mediterranean bay.
Para empezar, nos recogieron en un autobús y estuvimos en camino durante 1 hora aproximadamente hasta llegar a la ciudad de Sidi Bou Said, sin lugar a dudas el lugar mas bonito que vimos en toda la visita. La guía nos dijo que era la ciudad donde vive la gente de alto nivel, gente con mucho dinero, politicos, empresarios, etc... La verdad es que estaba todo super ciudado, las cosas estaban pintadas de blanco con detalles en azul o dorado y nos encantó, además al ser una ciudad en alto, teníamos unas vistas de toda la bahía del Mediterraneo.
Then they took us to the highest point from where we had an entire panoramic view of the Bay of Tunisia and the entire Mediterranean, without a doubt it is impressive, in the photograph you cannot appreciate the beauty of the place.
Luego nos llevaron al punto mas alto desde donde tuvimos una panorámica entera de la bahía de Túnez y todo el Mediterráneo, sin duda impresiona, en la fotografía no se puede apreciar la belleza del lugar.
When we finished, we went back to the capital on the bus and visited a typical carpet store, although there were a lot of souvenirs but especially carpets since they were made entirely by hand.
Al terminar, volvimos a la capital en el autobús y visitamos una tienda típica de alfombras, aunque había un montón de souvenirs pero especialmente alfombras ya que las hacían totalmente a mano.
Then they gave us a little free time to be in the store and around it and buy what we wanted and we continued our route to the shopping souk, there we stopped at a store selling spices and essences, they gave us a talk on how to They manufactured the essence and what is the difference between perfume and essence. Do you know what it is?
Well, the perfume has a mixture of alcohol and the essence is pure, it only has the oil of the plant with which it is made.
PS: We buy essence of orange blossom
Luego nos dieron un poco de tiempo libre para estar por la tienda y alrededores y comprar lo que quisieramos y seguimos nuestra ruta hasta el zoco de las compras, ahí paramos en una tienda de venta de especias y esencias, nos dieron una charla de como se fabricaban la esencia y que diferencia hay entre perfume y esencia. ¿Sabeis cual es?
Pues que el perfume lleva una mezcla de alcohol y la esencia es pura, solamente lleva el aceite de la planta con la que se fabrica.
PD: Nosotros compramos esencia de azahar
At the end of the tour they gave us free time to walk the streets, do the shopping we wanted and get lost in its streets. We were struck by the fact that there were a lot of minarets, which are the towers with loudspeakers from which the prayer of the Muslims is preached. I will talk about this in another post in more depth.
Al final del tour nos dejaron tiempo libre para andar por las calles, hacer las compras que quisiéramos y perdernos por sus calles. Nos llamaron la atención que había un montón de minaretes que son las torres con megafonía desde las que se predica el rezo para la oración de los musulmanes. De esto os hablaré en otro post mas a fondo.
We make and prepare for dinner and enjoy the performances that they had that night
Ya de vuelta al barco nos duchamos y nos preparamos para cenar y disfrutar de las actuaciones que tenian esa noche
