When I walked through Kranjska Gora for the first time a few weeks ago, the path led me to the magnificent river Pisnica.
We started from the hotel Kompas, where we were staying, which is located across the street from the Peace Park.
It's really very peaceful there. Photographs showing the construction of the road to Vrsic during World War I are exhibited in the park.
There is also a picture with the highest peaks of the Alps surrounding Kranjska Gora.
We came across the Kekec statue, a popular hero of an old Slovenian children's movie.
When we left the park, we went down to the children's playground, where my son had a great time.
And then I saw a small waterfall through the treetops.
I came closer and saw that it was a river and that there was a path along the river through a very pleasant and aromatic forest.
It is the river Pisnica in light green color. I enjoyed watching its shades. If heaven existed, this is another place in Slovenia that could resemble heaven.
And really, you feel as if you have escaped for a moment from everyday life, which is quite difficult these days in my city.
I surrendered to the charms of the river Pisnica and continued my walk through the forest.
I was amazed by the beautiful field flowers of endangered species, as well as the mushrooms. Nature is very strictly protected here. You can pay a fine of up to 800 euros for a picked flower.
And then we came across a real gem. Pisnica river waterfall in the most beautiful shades of green.
The forest around the waterfall has been beautifully landscaped. There is a suspension bridge that, when you cross, you can walk along a forest path. I did not dare to cross this bridge. I enjoyed the sounds and colors of the water by the waterfall.
In some parts of the river Pisnica, the water is so shallow that you can walk barefoot on it.
But it is also very cold. Even in the hottest summer period, it does not exceed 10 degrees.
That was a moment worth living. On the way back, we saw a forest man in the forest who symbolically protects this place from all harmful influences.
I hope that the nature here will be this beautiful and unspoiled for a long time because it is the greatest treasure the world has.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
