Late Night Walks At The City Hall

After eating our sumptuous eat all you can meal, my friends and I decided to take a walk before going home to relieve our bloated stomachs. We were supposed to grab some ice cream in the nearby convenient store but finally decided to just walk around the place.

This is our local city hall in Mandaue City, Cebu, where Barangay Captains and other local governments have their administrative affairs. I know there's a legal notarization service nearby the City Hall for a minimal fee, if not for free. There are also some tourists visiting this place to learn more about the local heritage.

During night time, many cyclists gather around the area to practice their tricks and exhibitions in cycling. There are students practicing their choreography dances here as well.

The lightings are very attractive which made the whole vibe more like a public park. There are also chairs for visitors and tourists to sit in. It's my first time to visit this place despite being a long time resident in the area.

Perhaps the most highlighted tourist spot here is their huge clock outside the city hall. This reminds me of Big Ben in London that i've seen only in photos. The clock says its 9:35 already. I wonder if it would also create a sound signifying that it's already 12 midnight too, just like in movies.

Today is the last day of one of my colleagues at work so we took some time to spend her last moments with us here. I realized that moments like these is what makes our job memorable and as much as i'd like to separate my emotions from my work life, it really can't be avoided. It can only be minimized.

That's it for today's adventure. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane
