Kota Beach

When we say " KOTA " on Bantayan Island, the first thing that came to mind is the beautiful beach, white sand, and the long strip of the sand bar of Kota beach in Sta. Fe. But did you know that there is another tourist destination called KOTA on the Island?

The KOTA PARK, a tourist destination on the island, is in the town of Madridejos. A destination inscribed with a history of Spanish Colonization. This place is a watch tower in which a Fort is constructed to watch the Moro pirate's invasion of the islands. I made another blog in regards to the Kota Fort just visit this link to know more about it.

Kota Park is known for its Baywalk promenade view and being a versatile destination that gives you a different stunning view during the high tide and low tide periods. During high tide, the crystal blue ocean water will deceive you to swim on and enjoy the splash of saltwater on the bay. While during low tide a magnificent view will be seen and make you pose in every area to capture the beautiful view of the coastal floor.

We reach the place around 3:30 pm and it was low tide at that time when we arrive. At first, we didn't appreciate the beauty of its coastal floor cause we expect the blue ocean in the area but when roaming around on the bay walk and climbing up in the Watch Tower, we are amazed at what we see during that time we didn't expect how beautiful a low tide is in that area. So we didn't waste time capturing every angle of the Kota Park, especially on the coastal Floor.

The place has a rooftop on the side where you can see the overview of the baywalk, the coastal area, and the watch tower. You will also see the open ground of the baywalk where you can camp and do some recreational activities with your friends and family. I don't know if they do some events here like a Birthday party or wedding which I think is perfect to take a vow on this beautiful place. They say sunset in the area is the best part you need to witness but unfortunately, we cant wait to see it cause we need to travel back in our homestay. We are afraid to catch by dark on the highway cause we are not familiar with the place. But so far the experience we have on this place is super good and unforgettable.

How to Reach Kota Park?

At first, to experience the place you don't need to pay the entrance fee, cause it is free and open to the public and for the transportation going to Kota Park, you may ride a bus from the Port of Sta. Fe going to the town of Madridejos for 45 minutes and from the proper, you can walk for 10 minutes and you will reach your destination. The bus fare is only 60 pesos from the Port to the town of Madridejos. You can also rent a motorcycle if you want which is preferable for me so can visit a lot of places aside from the Kota Park.

This underrated tourist destination on the island can capture your heart by the beautiful sceneries offered to every tourist who visited the place. A simple place that will mark your life. Glad I experience and witness the stunning views and the history it offers. I can say that it is worth it to visit.
