Heya my fellow Lakwatsero(Travelers) in Hive. How are you? hoping you're doing well today. For today's blog, we will discover another wonder in Pangasinan Philippines. We have been hopping in the amazing Hundred Islands in Alaminos and highlighting its features lately.

This time, we will explore the nearby town of Bolinao Pangasinan. In this area, a lot of tourist destinations are being suggested to us to explore, and checking the internet makes us excited to discover all of it in person, One thing that came up on our list that we will visit today is one of the known beach destinations that attract both locals and tourists to visit.

Patar Beach

This beach is one of the known beach destinations in the Philippines, It is one of the highlight tourist spots in the province of Pangasinan. The beach is distinct for its golden sand, crystal clear water, and the magical sunset that you can experience. There are also interesting rock formations and tidepools around that you can dive in and have some amazing shots.

I never expect that this is a long stretch of beautiful beach. It has an approximate length of three kilometers. A long beach right? where you can do various activities such as volleyball beach, camping, and others. This long coastline is ideal for a long walk on the beach especially at sunset.

It is perfect for family and friends outings, company team bonding, and also for romantic travel with your one and only. For solo travelers who need peace and me time, this place is also ideal for you. There is a spot on the beach that fewer tourists visit, you can enjoy sitting on the sand while watching the the breathtaking sunset.

Other Activities

• Swimming and Snorkeling - The beach has the turquoise color of water with healthy marine life. If you love to dive in and explore underwater, you will enjoy this place.

• Island Hopping - If you love to explore the nearby islands on this beach, some resorts, and communities around the beach offer Island hopping. This includes some coral gardens nearby.

• Fishing - Some fishermen leave around offering fishing and boating trips, to let the tourists experience the actual livelihood of coastal residents. It is one of the best you should try when visiting the beach.

• Beach Volleyball - some resorts set up some nets for volleyball for their guest to enjoy. Some visitors care to join in and play with them and have fun.

• Camping and Burnedfire - the beach is wide where you can set up tents and have camping with your friends. You can also be allowed to make a burned fire and have a good time talking with friends.

If you just want to chill and lay down on the fine golden sand while feeling the breeze of the ocean. You can have beach bumming and have a picnic with others while enjoying the view. You will love for sure this activities and enjoy when you visit the place.

How to reach Patar Beach?

The Beach is located in Brgy. Patar Bolinao Pangasinan Philippines. From Manila to Bolinao, it is approximately 5 to 6 hours of travel from Manila. You can ride a Bus in the Terminal in Pasay, Cubao, and Caloocan going to Pangasinan. The bus fare is 500 - 600 pesos approximately. Then drop in Bolinao proper. From the town, you will a tricycle or Habal-habal going to the beach. The cost is 100-300 pesos depending on the distance or negotiation.

The beach is also accessible by private cars, you can bring your own Car and pass through NLEX then follow the signs to Pangasinan then Bolinao. You can turn on your Maps to guide you along the way. Parking is not a problem, there's a wide-open area around the beach where you can park your cars.

Accommodation and Estimated Rates

A lot of Resorts and Hotels are available in Patar beach. They are ready to give you the best accommodation you need. Below are the estimated cost of accommodation;

• Budget Accommodation - Accommodation like traditional Nipa Hut with basic fan rooms in resorts, the estimated rental cost runs from 1000 - 2500 per night.

• Mid-Range Accommodation - an accommodation with air-conditioned rooms in resorts, it has an estimated rental cost of 3000 - 5000 pesos per night.

• Luxury Accommodation -, an accommodation with high-end rooms or villas in a resort with complete amenities such as pools, beachfront views, and others.

If you are budgeted for accommodation, some resorts offer a Camping site with a rate of 300- 500 per night. Tents are available in some resorts for rent.

In our stay on this beach last April this year with my colleagues for our Company Outing, We checked in one of the beautiful resorts called Casolares Beach Resort. It is a beachfront and has a nice location in Patar Beach.

Aside from its fine sand and crystal clear water, the best part that I love about this beach is the sunset. Its tranquil environment gives you relaxation and gives you the pace you need, especially at the golden time.

We Have fun roaming around and enjoying the beach. The place deserves to be explored and is worth it to visit. If you plan to visit the Philippines, make sure to put Pangasinan on your bucket list and visit this beach.

• Advance Booking - plan ahead, it is recommended to have an advance booking, especially during peak season. Patar Beach is a popular destination.

• Check the location of Resort - Check the location of your accommodation before booking, some resorts are far from the proper.

• Always Be a responsible Traveller - Respect nature and leave no trace. Always follow the rules and guidelines of the resort and the beach.
