Breathtaking Khum expedition, [Nafakhum,Amiakhum,Velakhum] (21's Dairy)

I spent sone days in the kingdom of Khum. (Amiyakhum, Nafakhum, Velakhum).

The intoxication of traveling is from reading books under pressure. Reading the story of Robinson Crusoe, I would get lost in the thought of Robinson Crusoe on a lonely island.
Reading Ibn Battuta, I thought that I don't want anything more in this life, I just have to be able to travel the world. It takes good money to go to these places, but with a little preparation and prior knowledge, it is possible to get less than 1 thousand tk per person.

And if you have the strength and ability in this place, otherwise you will miss a lot.
After watching the movie Into the Wild, I felt like leaving home today.
Vidhibam is lost in the bend of this life. Being flattened under pressure every day. Yet sometimes the desire to get lost. I thought for a few days that I needed to go out of the network for a few days, then I got a chance to visit Khumra. There was a little adventure in the trip plan. The desire to spend a night camping. But camping there is forbidden.

The journey started from Dhaka with a team of 10 people. It is compulsory to enter the police station there. In order to save time, I started my journey through Uttal Sangu river without entering the police station.
Start trekking along Padma Jhiri road. After some distance one leaves the hull.

Another one was a little bad but he will go. I started walking, I am in the middle of the walk, there is no rest. The first thing to do at the start of the journey was to reduce the weight of the bag as much as possible. Take things in stride and try not focus too much on the problem. But on the way there is a lot of thirst for water but it is impossible to carry a bottle of water. There are plenty of waterfalls and springs to walk along the way, you have to drink water from there.

With a backpack and a tent in hand, it is difficult to express in words how difficult it is to walk in the mountains. However, the view that will catch your eye while walking around and the cool water of Jhiri will make you forget all the troubles. This scene will not be captured by the camera, you must see it with the naked eye.

The condition of one of the remaining 9 members of us gradually deteriorated and his legs started shaking. With everyone's help we move slowly. It's getting late on the street. Now start trekking with torch light, this is a terrible situation.

In this way I reached "Thuisa Para" after trekking for 9-10 hours around 8 pm.

From there you have to trek for another 3 hours and cross one of the most dangerous "Devta" hills in Bangladesh. From the name you can understand how dangerous it is. For this it has been named "Devta Pahar".
Our target was to cross this mountain at night. When they reach the tribal area, somehow if they understand that we will set up a tent, they will tell the "BGB". We re-entered Thanchi without entry (you must enter).

But as a member, he leaves the hull after reaching so far, and can no longer go. It was decided to stay the night in "Thuisa" neighborhood. Our guide arranges to hide the tents. I spent the night at the house in the hills. Bamboo loft house.
The next day we got there feeling like we weren't going to Amiyakhum because one of us got sick. We are going back to Dhaka. When one fell ill, the guide sent him to another neighborhood.

Now start the journey without our guide. Following the guide's instructions and seeing the footprints, I started to move forward. While resting on the top of Devta hill, our host Miraz brother instructed us to take a quick rest and start walking, because we have to go down this hill and cross Devta hill in front. When I started to descend, I heard the roar of Khum floating in the distance and realized that we had actually come closer.
I hid the tents in the bushes at the foot of the Devta hill and floated on a little raft in Velakhum. "Aha ki saundarya" from Velakhum to the coveted Amiyakhum. I skipped for a while.

However, when it comes to jumping, you have to be very careful to hide the stones in the water and the stones on the top are slippery, if it is a little random or if you eat the slip, you have to pay for it at the cost of your own life.

I will pitch the tent at night, this was the plan but there was no plan what to eat. If we can heat the water a little by lighting a fire, then the cup nods can be eaten.

We were lucky to go there and find someone who lives in a distant neighborhood, with some boiled eggs, soft drinks, biscuits for sale. We offer her to stay the night with us, and she agrees. Khichuri is cooked with some rice and pulses that we have with us. I bought eggs from them. He cut the banana leaves from the hill and brought them. He sat on the rock and left the food on the banana leaves and then ate it. Aha !!! A cup of tea sitting next to "Khum" at night. Life is really beautiful.
I try to sleep at night when I hear the roar of Khum water. When the moon rises at night, the scene of that time will be remembered for a lifetime. Surrounded by hills around Amiyakhum. This is how Allah has secured beautiful things.

You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people.
The next morning after having a light breakfast again Devta crossed the hill and trekked to Nafakhum for 3-3.50 hours. That's another thing. As beautiful as it is awesome. A little mistake or a slippery slope can take away your life.
Some trekking from Nafakhum and some boating at Remakri Falls. That is another beauty. Every step of the whole trek is important. It is a wrong step. There is no measure of it, there must be a price.

From Remakri Falls, the boat crosses the turbulent Sangu River to the Coconut River. One of the most enjoyable times of this trip is this boat trip. Life jackets are mandatory for boat trips. The river is full of rocks. The boat has to move at a high speed. Our boat hit the rock twice, once gently and once at high speed when it was about to turn the river. I took it with preparation, now I have to jump. Fortunately, the boat did not capsize. The rest of the way I came to read ‘La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minajjalimin’ (Prayer to the Creator to save me from danger).
Alikadam enjoys the sunset from the top of the hill, taking the road from Thanchi, the highest road in Bangladesh, at a height of two and a half thousand feet. From Alikadam to your home.

First you have to go to Bandarban from Chittagong
Now you will get a car from Bandarban (Moon car) -
Between four thousand and five thousand (now there are some cars that belong to Thanchi, so these cars can be easily repaired within two thousand to two thousand five hundred rupees, (so, it is better to wait without fixing the car at the beginning after leaving) With a guide from Thanchi, the boat (engine powered) can be reached in two places (one is Padmamukh, two is Ramekri).
If you go down to Padmamukh you will get a different feel, from here you have to walk 6 hours to reach Jhinnapara, so in the middle of the night trekking is joss, you have to cross a little hill, and if you go to Ramekri, there is accommodation)

In the same way, on the way from Thanchi to Bandarban, you will see the vehicles of Bandarban which have come to Thanchi with passengers. By doing this you can back up between 1200 to 1500. (Not many people know this, so back up with 4000 only).
Excluding the rest of your expenses, the best is 14 people. The less you go, the more the cost will increase. Again, if there are more than 14 people, if there are more people, then there is trouble. Happy trekking.
The people there behave well, the culture is a bit different, so go and pay your respects in a good way. The rest is your responsibility.

I have learned more about life than I have enjoyed this trip

  1. Life must have a definite destination and a plan. The plan must have the humanity to change according to the environmental situation but cannot be distracted from one's goal.
  2. If you want to reach the goal at the right time, then time cannot be wasted.
  3. Nothing extra can be taken in life. Neither money, nor wealth, nor houses and cars can be extra. If it is excess, it will suffer in our life. Life will be beautiful if you can go with what you need, as much as you need. There will be no trouble in life.
  4. There is no need for us to be ready. You have to put what you have at hand.
  5. Every action of life, no matter how small, is important, no mistake can be made. If I make a mistake I must pay the price.
. At times it may seem that we are too far away from the goal but suddenly everything is in our hands. But you can't do whatever you want to achieve. Nor can rocks hidden under water bring danger to our lives.
. In life, you always have to think about what could be the worst before going to work. Then we will not have any problem.
. When food cannot be wasted. Because even a little food can save lives.
  6. Food should never be frustrated, whatever is available should be eaten with great satisfaction.
  7. To live together we need to have a supportive mind.
  8. You must keep your body fit.
We went 9 people, 3 days 3 nights cost around 5000.
