Hello, fellow travelers!

Once again, I’m here with you today to share my experience in Menorca, this beautiful place in Spain that I recommend everyone visit. Let’s just say it was a day full of highs and lows, mainly because at one point a big storm came, and I got so soaked that I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. But hey, that’s part of the journey and part of the experience.

On this day, we headed to Ciutadella de Menorca, because some friends had recommended this spot, saying it’s a must-see tourist destination. It turned out to be a lovely experience discovering the town and strolling through its streets.

Ciutadella is a small port city located on the western side of Menorca. If you’ve seen some of the photos I shared, you’ll have noticed there’s a large network of medieval streets where you can admire churches and many historic buildings. I also saw signs indicating that there are several nearby archaeological sites for those passionate about archaeology, though I didn’t visit them since it’s not really my thing.
I really enjoyed visiting this place because I noticed there are lots of small shops, especially little produce markets that I haven’t seen in a long time. They no longer exist in Milan, where I live. I also found a beautiful fish market, though I have to say, fish is quite expensive in Spain as well, which I didn’t expect since it’s caught locally.

At one point, I spotted a small antique shop in the distance, and to be honest, it took me by surprise since I never expected to find one here. You all know how much I love antiques because I go to all the markets I can in Italy. So, I went inside and spent about an hour there. Unfortunately, when I came out to continue my tour, a huge storm arrived, so I ended up seeking shelter back inside the antique shop. Maybe it was fate trying to get me to buy something.

Finally, after the downpour, we headed to a nearby beach, one with that beautiful red sand. I can’t remember the name of the beach, but it was fairly crowded, as you can see from the photos. We took the opportunity to relax a bit after the storm and enjoy a nice swim.

I hope you found my story interesting. I tried to include as many photos as possible. I’ll see you in the coming days as I continue this journey with more stories and pictures. For now, I send you all my best!
