Hello fellow travellers! I hope you are well anyway today in this post I want to tell you a little about my Saturday walk.
who follows me knows that I like to walk in the middle of nature, and I always try to tell you about it in a simple way through my photos and my words.
I covered a distance of about 10 km, you know well that I don't like things that are too demanding. In fact, I always choose routes that are quite easy to follow.
I started practically from a small town called Orgiano and is located in the province of Vicenza, however, under the first photo you will find all the information to find this place.
And I started from this beautiful villa located in this town that belonged to a rich family of the Venetian Republic.
In fact the region where I am is the Veneto and in 1800 this was practically an independent state.
The villa is very beautiful and can be visited because those who inherited it practically transformed it into a museum, I will definitely come back to it later because I want to make a video dedicated to this important artistic site.
In this area there are several of these villas because they were the residences of these gentlemen and unfortunately some were also destroyed during the war.
I started my path near the church indeed I found a small oratory that I visited inside, most likely a small place where the locals come to pray, and I continued in my walk to enter nature, abandoning any cemented path.
Before walking the dirt path I noticed a beautiful mural just made in a wall along the way, these works of art are very beautiful and unfortunately often in Italy they are ruined due to vandalism.
From my point of view, however, it is a beautiful way to make the country even more beautiful.
Before using them, I always study these paths at home so as not to make mistakes but above all not to get lost, although the luck is that these areas are still covered by telephone coverage.
However, I was very impressed by the colors of nature that at this time of the year are changing in fact we are now in late autumn.
Although on Saturday, the temperature was not normal, in fact it was 25 degrees centigrade!
Continuing to walk I arrived at a height of about 150 meters above sea level from where I could see a beautiful view even if there was a lot of haze.
It hasn't rained for several months and therefore the air is still very polluted, unfortunately this did not allow me to see a beautiful view.
Among other things, at the point where I once passed there was an important military base, it seems to me but I'm not sure it was a base for keeping ammunition from the US military,
in fact, after the Second World War the American army established several military bases in Italy, some are still active.
This was completely abandoned but in the end a part of the structure remained and in any case the area is still inaccessible.
During my walk I also came across a bee farm for the production of honey, usually it is not such a widespread thing in these areas even if nature is very good because bees are also very important for our existence.
Coming down, then the steep path, I also saw a field that is planted with lavender, I will definitely be back in spring because I really like the blooming of this flower.
I walked for about 2 km and in the end I arrived to my starting point where I had parked the car near this beautiful villa.
