Today I want to talk to you a little bit and show you about my mom's work and what she does. My mom works at the National Institute of Nutrition, a place where they follow up nutritional programs due to the malnutrition that we live day by day in my country which is Venezuela. These programs are nutrition days where they weigh the girl, pregnant mother and including the nursing mother to see their health status and how it is going in the process of strengthening your baby, in turn they supply them with vitamins and deworming.

Well, anyway, as I just mentioned of these programs (because there are many more which they have in schedules), my mom went to weigh the children and pregnant mothers along with other coworkers in the Municipality Benitez, specifically in Las Barracas an indigenous village where it is not very rural, it is like an area surrounded by many jungles and the Spanish language not many speak it. They speak their language which is Guarao. They were kind people and even more so when they were attended by my mother's group.

On the other hand, the transfer from where we were to this place was by land which was very tiring because it was very deep in the jungle, plus the long journey, including that there were lots of trees and bushes everywhere. On the way back it was by helicopter as you can see in the pictures. Everything from above was very nice to see and as you can see, in the pictures you can see my mom (left), her coordinator who is the man and her boss on the right side and next to him is another co-worker of my mom. I sincerely admire my mom for going to work in towns like this, where you can see the poverty in which they find themselves, in addition to providing service and getting to know other municipalities or cities in the state where we live. Not everyone does it and especially to stay from one day to the next in a place you don't know and even don't know their language.

This post is dedicated to her, and well, I wanted to bring you a little of the work that my mom does and what she has to face thanks to her work. There were photos that I didn't attach because I don't really want to show too much of the faces of the people that were there, especially the children. I think these were nice and more worthwhile for a post for the Pinmapple community.

Hoy quiero hablarles un poco y mostrarles acerca del trabajo de mi mamá y lo que realiza. Mi mamá trabaja en el Instituto Nacional de Nutrición, lugar del cual se hacen seguimientos de programas alimenticios debido a la desnutrición que se vive día a día en mi país que es Venezuela. Estos programas tratan de jornadas de nutrición donde pesan a la niña, madre embarazada e incluyendo a la madre lactante para ver su estado de salud y como va en el proceso de fortalecimiento de su bebé, a su vez les abastecen a los mismo de vitaminas y desparasitantes.

Bueno, en fin, como acabo de mencionar de dichos programas (porque hay muchos más los cuales ellos tienen en cronogramas), mi mamá se dirigió a pesar a los niños y a las madres embarazadas junto a otros compañeros de trabajos en el Municipio Benítez, específicamente en Las Barracas un poblado indígena donde no es muy rural, es como una zona rodeada de muchas selvas y el idioma español no muchos lo hablan. Ellos hablan su idioma que es el guarao. Fueron personas amables y más cuando los atendió el grupo de mi mamá.

Por otra parte, el traslado desde donde nos encontrábamos hasta este lugar fue vía terrestre el cual fue muy cansado porque era muy dentro de selva, más el recorrido largo, incluyendo que habían cantidades de árboles y matorrales por doquier. De regreso fue en helicóptero como pueden ver en las fotos. Todo desde arriba fue muy lindo de ver y como pueden observar, en las fotos se encuentra mi mamá (izquierda), su coordinador que es el hombre y su jefa al lado derecho y a su lado esta otro compañero de trabajo de mi mamá. Sinceramente admiro mucho a mi mamá por irse a trabajar a pueblos así, donde se nota la pobreza en la que se encuentran además de prestar servicio y conocer otros municipios o ciudades del estado en donde vivimos. No cualquiera lo hace y sobretodo quedarse de un día para otro en un lugar que desconoces y hasta desconoces su lengua.

Este post va dedicado a ella, y bueno, quise traerles un poco de la labor que realiza mi mamá y a lo que se debe enfrentar gracias a su trabajo. Habian fotos que no anexe porque en realidad no quiero mostrar mucho del rostro de las personas que se encontraban, sobre todo niños. Pienso que estas quedaron bonitas y valen más la pena para un posta para la comunidad de Pinmapple.
