Hi everyone! today I want to give you more details of our first day walking around Split in Croatia, and as I told you before, the first person we saw there was @ninaeatshere, who was our great companion. We got with her around 12:30 pm so it was lunch time so the first thing we did was to go eat Ćevapi. The good thing is that Nina already had located a place where they sell them called Kantun Paulina and no doubt she made a good choice because we loved it and after that day we went to eat a couple more times there in our visits to Split.

When we got to the restaurant there was a line but it really moved fast, the only bad thing is that the place sells take out only but that was not a problem for us, as you can see we sat right in front to eat. At this point Nina was trying to win Olivia's affection but Olivia is not an easy girl hahaha so Nina had to keep trying hahaha. Later we went to Split Promenade to meet other hivers (below you can recognize some of them) and go for a drink, although some decided to eat as well.
After finishing our drinks, Olivia became a bit irritable so my husband and I decided to go for a walk, but later Nina caught up with us and accompanied us to buy a keychain from Croatia that she wanted, and this was funny because we went to a lady who first offered us the keychain for 5 euros, and as we said no because it seemed too expensive, later she started to lower and lower the price but we finally decided to buy it somewhere else because she offered it so expensive from the beginning. After we bought the keychain at a reasonable price we went for a walk with Nina in the historical center of Split.
Once in the historic center, we realized that it was time for dessert because a sweet can not miss and for that we went to an ice cream shop chosen by Nina also called L'amore Per Il Gelato and where the gelato (worth the redundancy) was very good, no doubt she did a good job as a gastronomic guide hahaha thanks Nina. While we ate the gelato we continued walking around, I found it curious that there was a store with many different yellow ducks and another thing that made me curious was the museum of the famous series Game of Thrones but in the end we did not visit.
Also in Split we saw the statue of Gregorio de Nin, which according to what I had seen in a video, you have to rub your thumb and make a wish that will be fulfilled, I do not know if it is true or not but I did it hahaha and as there were still a couple of minutes to go to the bar where would be the first meeting with the hivers for the opening drinks of the Hivefest then we decided to go for a beer with Nina and stroll through the green market that by the time there was not much left of it and finally you know what happened and how we had a great time having some good drinks at the Paradiso bar and then back to the apartment to rest for the next few days to continue enjoying the Hivefest.
