I am not Moana, but the sea calls me.

After a long time of hoping to meet on the beach again, here I was celebrating that finally, we met after a long time. It's always an amazing feeling in my heart to see the beach again and hear the calming sound of the waves. Due to the hectic schedule that I had lately, I wasn't able to give myself some time to relax and unwind by the beach. Whenever I am at the beach, I feel so relieved because of its ambiance and calming nature.

So yesterday, we visited Del Carmen Beach and Swimming Pool located at Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. It took us almost 2 hours to reach the destination from our place. We rode a bus to reach our destination. The funny thing about our travel is that the air conditioner of the bus broke down that it released water. We got soaked with wet since we have no choice but to bear with the situation. But it's fine for us though since we will go to the beach.

As you can see, the curtain flipped above was used to lessen the water flowing towards our seats.

Now, while we were on our way to the resort, my heart was so happy seeing the greenery that I see in my window. Although it was a gloomy day yesterday, I can still see the wonderful trees and mountains around me. It may feel like a tiring trip, but seeing the view of the surrounding faded all my tiredness away.

These are some of the shots I had while we were on the way.

I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I see the greens of nature, I feel at peace. It seems like the negative energy surrounding me got extracted by the calming view.

Furthermore, when we reach the resort, I enjoyed looking around. We're supposed to go to Initao wherein there is white sand, but since we are a lot and the resort in Initao only caters to a few, then we chose Del Carmen.

Welcome to Del Carmen Beach and Swimming Pool

The sea was not clear after we arrived because aside from the thought that the sand was kind of black, the weather was gloomy as well which affected the waters of the sea.

There were murals as well and they look so good. I salute the artist behind the masterpiece as they are truly wonderful.

I walked around the area and near the waves as well, I love it so much. I love how refreshing the water was. In terms of the pool, I never get to swim there because I was too focused on the sea. There were a lot of people around the pool at that time as well, so I decided to just stay beside the ocean waves.

Feet selfie with sand because it's been a while.

A few minutes after chillin' by the beach, the staff told us that our room is ready, so we went towards the dorm. I never thought that it was located in the upper part, the stairs looked scary though. The dorm is just right as well, but I wasn't able to take some photos because I was tasked to go back to the cottage directly since I have something to do.

Since we were at the beach, one thing that I look forward to is the view of the sun as it sets. I want to stare at the sunbaked waters glisten as the sun was about to say goodbye for a moment. I am a big fan of sunset, and my eyes are already ready for that view. But then, since it was a gloomy day, I wasn't able to fully witness a sunset. There was a little sun showing up though, and that made me happy already.

I could say that I was able to relax during our stay at Del Carmen. It may not be as perfect as it is since it was gloomy, but I love the fact that I was there. It was a memorable stay out there, I can't wait to visit more beaches one of these days.
