Time is flying by and it seems like only yesterday that we went to Chapada Diamantina, in the state of Bahia. This was an end-of-year trip, right at the turn of the year, and for us it was a magical journey. Among the many places we went to, the one I liked the most was the Gruta da Lapa.

This is the second largest cave in the state of Bahia and the route we took takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, with the right to stop for photos and contemplate the sculptures that were made by nature itself, by processes called stalactites and stalagmites, which is the effect of water dripping on the rocks for hundreds or even thousands of years.

The lapa cave is a magical place with a very high spiritual and nature connection. Along the way there are several halls where you can see sculptures of all kinds: owls, chandeliers, angels, a nativity scene (containing the three wise men and the baby Jesus), among others. And to give you an idea, the level of appearance of these works of art made by nature itself is surreal.

The hike is done with individual lanterns and has a mild to moderate level of difficulty, requiring little effort, but at the exit of the cave there is a slightly tricky climb, which requires a bit of physical preparation.

We were in a group of about ten people, and along the way the connection of faith was so great that at one point we stopped to say a prayer and give thanks for all the blessings and for the privilege of visiting this place.

For those of you who have the privilege of visiting the Chapada Diamantina region, a place full of natural beauty, don't miss the Gruta da Lapa. Just like the Hive, the Lapa Cave is a magical place full of connections with nature, a place where we can access our essence.

O tempo passa voando parece que foi ontem que fomos a Chapada Diamantina, no Estado da Bahia. Essa foi uma viajem de final de ano, bem na virada do ano, e para nós foi uma viajem mágica. Dentre os diversos locais que fomos o que mais gostei foi de conhecer a Gruta da Lapa.

Essa é a segunda maior gruta do estado da Bahia e o percurso que fizemos tem cerca de 1 hora e 30 minutos de caminhada, com direito a paradas para fotos e contemplar as esculturas que foram feitas pela própria natureza, pelos processos chamados de estalactites e estalagmites, que é o efeito do gotejamento da água nas rochas por centenas ou até milhares de anos.

A gruta da lapa é um local mágico e com uma conexão espiritual e da natureza muito elevada. Durante o percurso existem diversos salões, onde é possível se deparar com esculturas de todos os tipos: corujas, lustres, anjos, presépio (contendo os três reis magos e o menino jesus), dentre outros. E para se ter noção o nível de aparência dessas obras de arte feita pela própria natureza é surreal.

A caminhada é feita com lanternas individuais e tem um nível de dificuldade leve à moderada, exige pouco esforço, porém na saída da gruta há uma subida um pouco complicada, que requer um pouco de preparo físico.

Estávamos em um grupo de cerca de dez pessoas, ao longo do caminho a conexão de fé de muitos foi tão grande, que em um momento do percurso paramos para fazer um oração e agradecer por todas as bençãos e pelo privilégio de conhecer este lugar.

Para aqueles que tiverem o privilégio de conhecer a região de Chapada Diamantina, um lugar cheio de beleza naturais, não deixe de conhecer a Gruta da Lapa. Assim como a Hive a Gruta da Lapa é um local mágico e cheio de conexões com a natureza, é o local onde podemos acessar a nossa essência.
