After a day's stay in Udaipur we left for Mount Abu next day morning around 10-11. It was around 160 KM and took us around 3-4 Hours. Starting from Abu road there was a uphill drive of 30 KM. It was my first hill drive of this long, but the roads were good enough and with a steady speed we reached uphill in around 40-45 minutes. Considering my first hill drive it was quite a experience and adventure.

My first introduction with Mount Abu was quite early in my life during school time with a chapter on Mount Abu and specially Delwara Temples in my book. It was a fascination for this place since that time.

We reached our stay in Achalgarh, which is at one corner of the hill station and after lunch and some rest left for sightseeing. The first thing we visited was 'Delwara's Temple'. looked like any ordinary temple from outside, but once you enters you realize why there was a mention of this temple in our text books. The magnificence, the stone carving, the marble architecture there just mesmerize you. It was a treat for eyes and the idols there were treat to soul. This can be your only reason to visit this place even from hundreds or thousands of kilometers.

The drive to-from Achalgarh and center of Mount Abu (Nakki Lake) was adventures too. When its first time everything feels amazing. Roads are good and there are no steep slopes, no sharp turns and valley roads but still it was feel of driving on hills.

We reached central market near Nakki Lake, found a parking space and explored market. Here first time we rented a scooter and explored nearby area on scooter. The lake is serene, there were many shops, restaurants, cafes on approaching road of lake. then there is a peripheral road with some traffic restrictions (I guess cars were not allowed there). Some small parks around the lake. Spent good time there. Meanwhile there was a sunset point, so visited there, it required quite walking upto the sunset point, and it was heavily crowded at that time.

Got back to our stay at around 9:00 had dinner there. Next day morning explored nearby temples, there are Jain Temples in AchalGarh. Some ruins of a fort can be explored after a track of around 2-3 KM. Explored a wax museum. It was first experience of a wax museum and it was decent. There were wax statues of many national and international figures.

It was just one day (not even a complete day as we reached in after noon and left from mount abu next day around noon) but felt like we did so much in this time. Totally well spent time with each moment lived to fullest.

Thanks for reading all through it.. Keep reading, keep posting.
