Hello friends,
This is about my trip to 'Andaman Nicobar Islands'. And on top of my excitement it was my first experience of any flight. It is truly one of best vacation experience one can have.
We set off for the trip from Delhi at 5:30 in the morning. It was a connecting flight, I kept peeping out of the window like a child and every frame that was passing in front of my eyes was like a new world.
Some 2 hours past and there was landing announcement. The plane was about to land in Chennai, the window of the plane was offering some amazing view of costal area in Chennai.
After half n hour in Chennai we again set off for next part of journey to Portblair. The route was all above the sea as these islands are around 1058 miles east from Chennai coast in Indian Ocean.
The mesmerizing views kept on coming, and I stuck myself to the windows. Being a first timer in the flight these views were nothing less than magical to me.
The illusion of weather the blue outside is sky or sea made it more spectacular.
Then came the time when we actually reached around the islands. It felt like even a blink would cost loosing on a breathtaking view. The pics I could take at that moment can never justify what my eyes offered me to experience.
Slowly slowly we approached to landing but views outside the window never fall short to mesmerize me. There are 572 islands in 'Andaman Nicobar Islands', of which 37 are inhabited.
Upon landing we headed for our resort and after some time we went to 'Corbyns cove beach' and after that the 'Cellular Jail'. Its kind of museum now, the night light show there was incerdible.
Next day was packed with a whole day tour to beautiful 'Ross Island' then for water activity to 'North-Bay Island' then for some hiking to 'Viper Island'.
In the mean time when we were crossing little distance to 'Ross Island' the weather played around and some of rain and some of dusky cloud cover added adventure (with a little bit of fear) to the trip. Thankfully weather cleared in a few minutes :) but I lived it to fullest.
Views were amazing in every frame, every sight hold scenic picture, it was hard to decide what to capture and what to leave.
There were so many first times with this trip that it will always remain special to me. As I mentioned it was my first time flight experience, it was also my first time beach/sea experience, first time any water sports experience.
It was a 7 days trip, which for some reason unwillingly extended to 9 days. There is a lot to tell about it, but I will wrap this blog here. I will write another part soon in next blog.
