Sometimes the process of traveling is no less interesting than the destination itself

So, so, so... What do we have here? Another post about Italy! What exactly? Positano! I have already written about many places in this country, and here is one more! But this time I will not write about the place itself, but only about the road. And I will tell you about the place itself in the next article. So, let's start our journey. We had quite a long route. We first went to Naples, which I wrote about earlier. And there we spent two nights before our bus flight. On the first day, we moved from the city of Bassiano and rented an apartment closer to our station where we arrived. On the way to our first apartment, I photographed Naples. The city is truly impressive. And so we finally arrived at this place of rest! It was a pleasure to take off my backpacks after such a long time. Our apartment was very nice. It was two-story with a black-white-gray design. It was a very cozy atmosphere, but we only stayed here for one night. So, the very next day, we handed over the keys to the apartment and continued our journey. We had to take the subway. As always, we were late, but I still managed to take photos of the streets. There were street performers here, and each of them had their own idea. Yes, unfortunately the photo is of very poor quality, but so you can understand how much we were in a hurry!

On the way we saw the boundless and majestic volcano Vesuvius. Now, fortunately, it is not active, although it is believed that it is active even today. It is one of three active volcanoes in Italy, the only active volcano in mainland Europe. There are records of more than 80 significant eruptions, the most famous of which occurred on August 24, 79. The last historical eruption of Vesuvius took place in 1944. Not so long ago, but not so recently either. Almost 80 years have passed since that time. Although even at the present time they sometimes write that "Vesuvius has woken up." It is so big that we could see it even on the way to the subway on the streets. When we finally arrived at the station, we saw the unique design of the room. There were various holes in the walls with lighting. Small tiles of blue and blue mosaics. Figures in the form of waves that appear on the plane of the walls. Of course, the photos are not of high quality at all, but we were in a great hurry and did not think about the photos. And finally - our train! He is very handsome. With colorful graffiti and drawings. Very cute 🥰. We showed our tickets and finally boarded the train. How can I tell you, I made a little mistake, this is not a subway, but a train that travels on the very surface of the earth. And this is in my favor. Because I didn't have a photo of Vesuvius, since we didn't go close to it, but the train was going as close as we could go. By the way, Mount Vesuvius is only 15 kilometers away from Naples. And after a couple of attempts to photograph this creation of nature, I finally did it! And you got a unique opportunity to see this original photo! So, after driving for about three hours, we began to stop believing that we would catch the bus we were supposed to take to get to our next apartment. And all because the train was constantly making stops, and we did not have time to catch the bus. So, we decided to do this. Get off at the stop earlier, and get there on another bus. Luckily our plan worked and we arrived at our next apartment. This apartment was also very nice, with two bedrooms, and quite a nice design. And as always, I won't show you this because I forgot to take a picture of the design 😃.

The next day, as usual, we gave the keys (we definitely didn't keep them for ourselves 😆). This time we did not travel by train. We went to the bus station. The weather was rainy. We were flooded with water from all sides. And we didn't even have an umbrella! We ran a couple of meters and realized that we couldn't go on like this. And you probably know that Italy is a commercial country. Especially in cities like Naples. Therefore, even when it starts to rain, they figure out how to make money from people like us. And that's why there are people selling umbrellas here at every step. And as you may have guessed, we bought umbrellas. It was blue and purple. We opened them and drove in the rain to the station. And finally the bus! We finally sat down and set off on this long journey.

At first, as there were no such species, we simply climbed higher and higher into the mountains. But when we started driving near the rocks, something incredible happened. It was an incredible view of the sea and green trees. It was an incredible impression. We drove and enjoyed the road. It was a huge height. It was both scary and beautiful at the same time. The view of the blue sea is impressive. The abundance of green forests adds even more excitement. And so we finally arrive at Positano itself. But I will tell you about it in the next article!
