Noontime Strolls, F1 Vibes, and Suntec City Adventures

It's already midnight, and I still haven't finished writing my post—lol, I tend to procrastinate. Somehow, I always manage to get it done, so I'm a little proud of myself for that. I started writing earlier this afternoon but felt like going for a jog, so I gave in. After that, I took a quick shower and then got back to writing today's post.

As we get closer to the F1 Race event, more promotional activities are popping up. It's their way of building hype as race day approaches. Around noon, I had the chance to check out one of the promotional events at Suntec City. I'm not a huge F1 fan, but I enjoy checking out these events because they often have activities worth waiting in line for... haha.

Suntec City is also a nice place to walk around and pass the time with its great shops. Plus, I always love visiting the Fountain of Wealth, the tallest fountain in the city.

I find the best route to Suntec City is by taking the MRT and getting off at Promenade station, which is also the closest stop to the F1 race event. Along the way, I get to see some nice art pieces, like this "raindrop sculpture."

From the exit, I could already see the fountain in the distance. So before heading to the F1 event, I decided to check out the fountain now that it was turned on.

The fountain is located in the center of the complex, and although it may seem like you can cross the road to get there, I don’t recommend it. There are safer options, such as the spiral staircases that lead underground or across the road. I believe there are two or three of these staircases that anyone can use to access the fountain. From one of these spiral staircases, I made my way to the basement of the shopping mall. It might feel like you're navigating through a labyrinth at first, but it eventually leads you right where you need to go.

After enjoying the fountain, I decided to grab something to eat. I went back down to the basement using the same staircase and found a bread shop. Out of the many options, the tuna sandwich and Oreo-cheese bread caught my attention.

It's amazing to see that even from the basement level, the fountain is visible. Some restaurants offer dining spaces where you can enjoy the view of the fountain while eating.

From there, I walked ahead until I reached the atrium where the promotional event was being held. I believe it was in the Tower 3 area. Since all the towers are interconnected, it was easy to navigate through the passages to find the spot. By the time I arrived, the presentation had already ended, but the merchants and video gaming stations were still active, and people were lining up for them.

I tried lining up but quickly got discouraged when it seemed like it would take several minutes before I’d get a chance to try the video game. Based on how much fun the players were having, I'd say the game looked exciting. It probably makes them feel like they're in a race too. So instead, I just took the pleasure of taking photos of the race car on display.

From there, I wandered around the shopping mall for a few more minutes, checking out some interesting spots. There wasn’t much else to do besides eating and shopping, haha. Maybe I was a bit frustrated about not getting to try the racing game, but I had to head back to the office, so I took the same MRT line home.

Before leaving, I snapped a few more shots of the fountain from the window of a Starbucks café on the second level, then made my way back to the MRT station.

In conclusion, my spontaneous adventure to Suntec City was a delightful mix of sights, sounds, and tastes, all enhanced by the excitement leading up to the F1 Race event. While I may not have gotten the chance to try the video game, exploring the vibrant atmosphere and enjoying the iconic fountain made the day worthwhile. I left with some great memories and a few tasty treats, already looking forward to my next visit!
