After what feels like underworld kind of struggle comes a heaven on earth - dream land view. This is how I describe our trip to El Nido. Drenching on a shallow-translucent water that shines like crystals when sunlight hits its waves on a white sand beach perfectly hidden into the unknown.
𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 𝓗𝓲𝓿𝓮 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓽𝔂! It's me Marycris, join us as we set out a new journey in unveiling the Hidden Beach of EL Nido Palawan, Philippines. Let's start!
As our boat was voyaging, we only have a clue that we are about to visit a beach but as we go nearer to the docking area, we could not see any sand or something to strand other than those gigantic rock formations and sea cliffs. It feels like we are in a dead end but it was just only an illusion. The tour guide says we're close to the destination but we can't see one, "Hey beach, where art thou?"😂
Then we come to rest by the end of those big rocks together with the other outrigger boats. As we anchored in place, we are instructed to jump and dip into the water and swim from our boat to the way he pointed his finger. Right away, we followed his command barely acquainted with the place while reflecting why is it concealed behind rocks? And that's when we realized why the place was called "Hidden Beach" because it was literally hidden between rocks.
As the guide said that we are going to jump, I already prepared myself for an extensive swim as we are going to engage ourselves against the splashing of waves. I am confident since I know how to swim and I have my life jacket on so I'll just have to float whenever I feel tired. Well, we are in El Nido anyways so we just have to confide and go with it. And so we jumped right in!
After our distant swimming in a full to half body level of sea water struggling for sharp rocks and waves which we know we did not sign up for, leads us to our journey's end and then saw this opening of the Hidden Beach between giant limestones.
The place was surreal. We enjoyed bathing on its vibrant water which shines like crystals when sunlight hits its waves. Too much relish, we noticed that more and more people are approaching to the hidden beach from the direction we originated. Some are sun bathing, capturing memories and swimming on a beach perfectly hidden from the outside world.
I know you can already feel the ambience of the place from what I describe to it, the super scenic 360 degree view-ty to its fresh sea water and air, how much more if you see and experience it yourself? The best thing you can do there is to look on the beauty of the entire place.
And so, we sat on the fine white sand beach and just marvel around the limestones surrounding us since swimming going up there is pretty much tiring plus we don't have our aqua shoes on. While on the beach, I asked myself , "Am I really in the Philippines? Because everywhere I look, there are foreigners! Then I appreciate more the beauty that my country can offer that can be enjoyed from different people of the whole wide world.
We wished to stay longer but the guide called us with the other joiners to head back to our boat since we still have to proceed to our next destination. And that was again another round of battling the sharp rocks and waves. Overall, it was worth doing. There are many beautiful beaches in El Nido but when it comes to a tranquil beach, this place takes the cake.
