Blessed Nature-Loving Friends,
Here are some snapshots from our drive and walk yesterday, up from Guardia Sanframondi, BN (Italy) past Bocca Della Selva, and into the Matese mountains, then down to San Massimo, CB for a glorious meal of bacala and patate al forno at Ciapìn.

We stopped at some woods with a beautiful path, near the border of the two regions, up above Lago Di Matese: there are many walks here, and vast woodlands which it would be easy to get lost in if you are not care-full.
I found some wild strawberries and lilies growing in a perfect camping clearing, where we may revisit one day with my big Soulpad tent...
The walk was very healing and refreshing for me, after a lengthy period of debilatating illness. The journey in was challenging, but coming back everything felt lighter...
On the drive onwards, we bumped into these beautiful beasts, as usually happens on this road: this photo with the horses is the location where I pinned the Pinmapple link.
The road down from Matese towards San Massimo is truly spectacular; dramatic ridges, glorious rounded hills with poetic trees and groves, big wild expanses dotted in pale rocks, bright blue sky setting everything off so beautifully...
A perfect day, driving back the winding roads from the superstrada down past Morcone and turning right at Pontelandolfo for the home stretch.
