I hope you are well or are trying to be well. I recently shared with you the 10th part of my From All Over Türkiye series in which I talked about a few parts of Pergamon and its transportation.
Now I would like to share the last remaining parts with you, the Red Hall Basilica and the Sanctuary. But first the Sacred Area because we visited Pergamon first and then the Red Hall Basilica for convenience while visiting.
Now let's get started. But where were we before that? Oh, yes, we were in the theatre. Now I'm going to take you to the photograph on the right hand side of the thumbnail.
After the altars, we are now on our way to the sanctuary.
Tajan Sanctuary
Even though the Tajan Sanctuary was used as a multifunctional worship in its time, it was converted into cisterns, that is, water reservoirs, in the middle ages. When we went there, everything was soaked. I guess it has not lost its cistern feature.
I could not take any photographs in the following part because it was quite difficult to see even with my own eyes. But there were a few elements that caught my eye extra. One of them is the stone near the centre in the photo on the right, which is longer than the others.
I reckon this stone fell and they replaced it with another stone. Then, wasn't the temple not that strong? How could this city and temple with the altar of Zeus not be built with first class workmanship? I have hundreds of questions in my mind and some of them are very incriminating.
West End Structure
Now, after we left here, we went to the West End Structure.
We went up and down some stairs. We walked around 50 people like mad cow 😂😂😂
At the end of the road, which we finished breathlessly following the head guide, we came across something beautiful.
Temple of Tajan
I think you can tell how cold and windy it was by my friends in the lower right corner. I also like this photo even though the ruins don't look "beautiful" in this photo frame.
Maybe it's better this way, don't you think? As we got a little closer, we saw some beautiful scenery.
Some parts are really dangerous, you have to be careful.
This part of the ancient city is definitely more crowded than the theatre part. There are many things to see. There are a lot of photos and information, but that part should be with a guided tour. After all, we all have to earn our bread, right? 😂
Now that this part is over, I think we can move on to the Red Hall Basilica. It felt like I said don't forget to become a member for a little more, but there is no point in boring you with historical information.
Red Hall Basilica
I think you can more or less understand why it is called the Red Hall Basilica. We were comfortable here because the wind was a little bit off. The walls that were still standing protected us a little bit.
Now I would like to share with you some photographs from the camera of Cemre, a colleague from the group. When I told him that I wanted to share these photographs, he gave me permission. Thank you again for that. He is a very generous father and I would like to congratulate him again. Maybe he looks round here sometimes.
Although I normally don't like to add photos in a row like this, I have nothing to say about these.
Yes, I have already come to the end of this part of my tour here. I am happy that I have taken the audio recording of the information given. Sometimes it is not very audible because of the wind, but there is nothing to do. I am trying to continue as much as I remember.

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Geçenlerde sizlerle paylaştığım Türkiye'nin Dört Bir Yanından serimin 10.'u bölümünde Pergamon'un birkaç bölümünden ve ulaşımından bahsetmiştim.
Şimdi ise sizinle son kalan kısımlarını paylaşmak istiyorum. Kızıl Avlu ile Kutsal Alan kısmını. Ama ilk önce Kutsal Alan çünkü biz ziyaret ederken kolaylık olsun diye ilk önce Pergamon'u daha sonrasında ise Kızıl Avlu'yu ziyaret etmişiz.
Şimdi hadi başlayalım. Ama bundan önce nerede kalmıştık? Heh, evet, tiyatrodaydık. Şimdi size kapakta bulunan sağ taraftaki fotoğrafa götüreceğim.
Altarlardan sonra şimdi yolumuz kutsal alana düşüyor.
Tajan Kutsal Alanı
Tajan Kutsal Alanı, zamanında çok işlevli tapınma olarak tanımlayabileceğimiz şekilde kullanılmış olsa dahi orta çağda sarnıçlara yani su depolarına çevrilmiş. Biz gittiğimizde de her yer sırılsıklamdı. Sanırım sarnıç özelliğini kaybetmemiş.
İlerleyen kısımda fotoğraf çekemedim çünkü kendi gözlerim ile bile görmek oldukça zordu. Ama gözüme ekstra takılan birkaç unsur oldu. Bunlardan birisi ise sağdaki fotoğrafta ortaya yakın kısımda diğerlerinden daha uzun olan taş.
Sanırım bu taş düşmüş ve yerine başka bir taş takmışlar. O zaman, yapılan tapınak o kadar da sağlam değil miydi? İçerisinde Zeus'un altarı bulunan bu şehir ve tapınak nasıl birinci sınıf işçilikle yapılmaz? Aklımda yüzlerce soru var ve bunlardan bazıları çok suçlayıcı.
Batı Uç Yapısı
Şimdi, buradan çıktıktan sonra Batı Uç Yapı'sına geçtik.
Biraz merdiven indik, çıktık. Deli danalar gibi 50 kişi dolaştık oralarda 😂😂
Biraz başrehberin peşinde nefes nefese bitirdiğimiz yolun sonunda güzel bir şey ile karşılaştık.
Tajan Tapınağı
Sağ alt köşede görünen arkadaşlarımdan havanın ne kadar soğuk ve rüzgârlı olduğunu anlayabilirsiniz bence. Bir de bu fotoğraf karesinde kalıntılar her ne kadar "güzel" görünmese de bu fotoğrafı seviyorum.
Böyle daha iyidir belki, ne dersiniz? Biraz daha yakınlaşırken güzel manzara da gördük.
Bazı kısımlar gerçekten de çok tehlikeli, dikkatli olmak gerekiyor.
Antik kentin bu kısmı kesinlikle tiyarto kısmına göre daha kalabalık. Görülecek çok şey var. Çok fazla fotoğraf ve bilgi var ama o kısmın bir rehber eşliğinde gezi ile olması gerekiyor. Sonuçta hepimiz ekmek paramızı kazanmalıyız değil mi? 😂
Bu kısım bittiğine göre Kızıl Avlu'ya geçebiliriz sanırım. Biraz daha fazlası için üye olmayı unutmayın demişim gibi hissettirdi fakat sizi tarihi bilgilerle sıkmanın anlamı yok.
Kızıl Avlu
Neden Kızıl Avlu dendiğini az çok anlamışsınızdır diye düşünüyorum. Burada rüzgâr biraz kesildiği için rahattık. Hâlâ ayakta olan duvarlar bizi biraz da olsun korudu.
Şimdi sizinle gruptan Cemre isimli meslektaşımın kamerasından birkaç fotoğraf paylaşmak istiyorum. Kendisi bu fotoğrafları paylaşmak istediğimi söyleyince izin verdi. Bunun için tekrar teşekkür ederim. Kendisi oldukça cömert bir baba ve onu tekrar kutlamak isterim. Belki bazen buralara göz gezdiriyordur.
Normalde bu şekilde üst üste fotoğraf eklemekten hiç hoşlanmasam da bunlar hakkında söyleyecek lafım yok.
