Dear friends of hive,
Here we are again for another trip together to discover some small part of Italy.
Today I want to tell you about my happy return to Limone sul Garda, a small town on the Brescia shore of Lake Garda.

eccoci di nuovo qui per un altro viaggio insieme alla scoperta di qualche piccola parte dell’Italia.
Oggi vi voglio raccontare del mio felice ritorno a Limone sul Garda, un piccolo comune sulla sponda bresciana del lago di Garda.
Limone sul Garda is one of the most popular tourist destinations on Lake Garda, here time seems to stop and the only thing to do is relax and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
Walking through the streets of the center you can admire almost painted views that seem to bring into a magical world, life flows slowly in Limone.
It is possible to meet people from different nations, being a very touristy destination.
Limone sul Garda è una delle località turistiche più gettonate del lago di Garda, qui il tempo sembra fermarsi e la cosa unica da fare è rilassarsi e godersi i meravigliosi paesaggi.
Passeggiando per le vie del centro si possono ammirare scorci quasi dipinti e che sembrano portare in un mondo magico, la vita scorre lenta a Limone.
E’ possibile incontrare persone provenienti da nazioni diverse, essendo una meta molto turistica.
The story :
Even today there are several written testimonies of this country, some call it with the name limonum, or limon, others with the Latin name Limen ( border ). Distantly to what you think, the name Limone does not derive from the fruit but most likely from the presence in antiquity of Olmi this would derive from the Celtic culture Limo.
Nevertheless, in the early 1900s it was called Limone sul Garda.
Certainly Limone is famous for its wonderful Limonaie, built after the thirteenth century for the first time so north, the climate and location allowed the cultivation of lemons and export to the north for example in Germany.
A real commercial hub.
La storia :
Ancora oggi ci sono diverse testimonianze scritte di questo paese, alcune lo interpellano con il nome di limonum, o limon, altre con il nome latino Limen ( confine ). Lontanamente a quello che si pensa, il nome Limone non deriva dal frutto ma molto probabilmente dalla presenza in antichitĂ di Olmi questo deriverebbe dalla cultura celtica Limo.
Nonostante ciò nei primi del 1900 prende il nome di Limone sul Garda.
Sicuramente Limone è famoso per le sue meravigliose Limonaie, costruite dopo il XIII sec per la prima volta così a nord, il clima e la posizione consentivano la coltivazione dei limoni e l’esportazione verso nord per esempio in Germania.
Un vero e proprio polo commerciale.
Today, as mentioned above, remains one of the most fascinating stages of Lake Garda, also from 2018 was opened the longest cycle pedestrian lake.
They are exactly 2.5 km and a half of a bicycle and pedestrian trail suspended over the lake, walking you can see wonderful views and enjoy the beauty of the lake and nature.
You can be pampered by the cool breeze that comes from the lake and the mountains that are just a few steps away.
Oggi, come già detto in precedenza, resta una delle tappe più affascinanti del lago di Garda, inoltre dal 2018 è stata aperta la ciclopedonale più lunga del lago.
Sono esattamente 2,5 km e mezzo di pista ciclopedonale sospesa sul lago, camminando è possibile vedere scorci meravigliosi e godersi la bellezza del lago e della natura.
Ci si fa proprio coccolare dalla brezza fresca che proviene dal lago e dalle montagne che si trovano proprio lì a pochi passi.
It’s a must-see experience, the perfect combination of history, nature and relaxation on the lake’s beaches.
If you are nearby, stop at Limone and you will not regret it.
