Beach meets Art
Hey guys, I totally forgot to post my weekend at the ocean.
Here in Portugal we often drive to the beach at the weekend when the weather is fine, and it is at the moment.
So last weekend we were in Costa da Caparica. This is close to lisboa and Almada. Just over the bridge or you can take the boat to come over.
We picked up another friend which stayed in a hostel, sorry, I don't know the name of it any more but the Art in the hostel was amazing. Português people recycle most stuff and create art out of it. Like this broken skateboard which is now a nice wall decoration.
A lot of artist are doing this ocean art design here. I think you know it right? I forgot how to call it but it's amazing.
After picking our friend up we went to the promenade of Costa da Caparica and spent many hours at the beach but also in the bars, restaurants and cafe's around.
I won't show beach pics now, I concentrate of the art design in this different locations.
Cause it was last weekend I really forgot the name of this beach bar but it was between "red dragon" and "da wave".
But therefore I remember a brand new beach restaurant there. It's called "Maryana". I only remember cause I made a Pic from the Buddha statue in front. 😅
For me it's just the "butterfly place".
Maryana Beach Lounge: Muralha da Praia Nova, Apoio 25,2825-042 Costa da Caparica
So if you like for example Caribbean food you will love it there.
A friend of mine said later, he knows a pretty cool little coffee roaster. The owner is from south Africa he told us. So we went through this little town to get there and, guys, best coffee around. The owner is soooooo lovely and friendly and the orange cake was damn amaaaaaazing delicious.
He always watched out for us, if we have everything or if we need anything. Such a good and fast service is not normal in Portugal. Lol. Really impressive.
This place is called "Asante coffees". If you ever will be there try this coffee, you won't be disappointed! Promise.
The Adress is: Av. Dom Sebastiao 74c, 2825-405 Costa da Caparica.
We took later a walk through this village but this I show you tomorrow cause we discovered a loooot of streetart. For now it should be enough with fancy, hipster, recycled Artworks! I hope I could give you some good artfully impressions of the português beach art style. Have an amazing day guys.
Aaaw by the way I hope it was okay to post it in pinmapple. It's my first post in this community and because pinmapple is for areas and traveller I thought it would be nice to share it with the travel community.
