Monday Poetry Fun Day - The Womble Pfeffel (Limerick)

There once was a Womble who bumbled
with hair chaotic and jumbled,
writing racist articles
for magazines farcical,
he was sacked
and ended up disgruntled.

But not to be deterred
Boris decide he'd eared
in a career weaving words,
he spoke to some chums
from the club Bullingdon;
blagged his way into
the houses of commons.

Behind the scenes
he whispered and schemed
while clowning on BBC 2,
on a zipline he dangled
with his pants in a tangle,
like a chimp on a swing at the zoo.

He Pfeffel'd and guffawed
in the Commons and Lords
playing comic and harmless,
he took so much piss
that they judged him amiss,
missed that he's an expert
piss artist.

Boris waited and waited
with breath well abated
for his chance
to sneak through the door,
with a Brexit lunge
Theresa was expunged,
and Boris started a war
on you, me and everyone
the poor and the badly done...
scroungers and immigrants all,
he happily blamed,
destroyed and renamed
our Kingdom United no more.

There once was a Womble from Eton
who's clowning remains unbeaten,
he plundered the lands,
while shaking our hands,
pretending to be a loveable cretin.
