I was lost in thought when this young lad brought me back to consciousness with her loud voice shouting in the ibibio parlance Mbo Inem bons mfo mi(get your sweet bons here).
Despite the buzzing of the cars and the blasting of the car horn her voice was loud, yes! loud enough to wake a sleeping dog😊, she kept calling out but yet no one purchased her bons.
And i thought to myself for how long will this lad keep doing this to meet ends meet, so i sighed and beckoned on her to bring her goods, i bought it not because i was famished but twas just to put a smile on her face and yes i succeeded😊😊😊😊.
There was this sense of hope i saw radiating from her and little triggers of smile from the corners of her mouth.
I was glad i could make some one smile Today.
