Surgical Procedures

Allen Anderson stands in front of a window through which the remaining Tarrasques 725 and 533 are being operated on. Despite the fact that he is in a hospital, Anderson lights up a cigarette. He takes a drag and blows smoke against the window. There’s no one currently in the room to tell him to stop.

He watches as the operating teams work on the hearts of the remaining clones, installing something similar to a pacemaker in size. One of the people in the operating room leaves there to come into the room that Anderson is in. He wrinkles his nose at the smoke, but doesn’t say anything. He hands a remote control to Anderson.

Man: They’re closing up now and the controls should be operational.

Allen Anderson: So, it’s my understanding that this will shock them into control if they are doing something that I do not want them to do and if they cannot be controlled…detonate their hearts.

Man: I don’t know why someone would want to do this to another human being, but yes. That is the kind of control that you will have over them. It might be wise to do some training sessions so they associate the pain with doing something wrong…like dogs.

Allen Anderson: I’m well aware of how to train them. I managed the original for years before his death.

Man: How do you do it?

Allen Anderson: Do what?

Man: Abuse someone with a childlike mind until he is the monster that you so crave him to be?

Allen Anderson: I do what must be done in order for my family to survive and prosper. If an idiot must be turned into a monster and clone army, then that’s what needs to be done. I would sacrifice a million Tarrasques to get the job done.

The man shakes his head and starts to head back to the operating room. He pops his head back into the room as he closes the door.

Man: Oh, and there’s no smoking allowed in the hospital.

Anderson smirks as he plucks the cherry off of the end of the cigarette with two fingers and puts the cigarette back away in the pack. He begins pacing a little.

Allen Anderson: My monsters are going into this battle royal. They are going to crush the competition. If they do not, then they will spend their remaining days working to kill Jeremiah Vastrix. If indeed he remains to be Jeremiah Vastrix. If everything goes as planned, maybe I will give them to him as his bodyguards.

Anderson chuckles as he watches the operating teams close up the two Tarrasques.

Allen Anderson: Another day, another step closer to going home.
