There's a love I'll never forget,
clandestine and in the shadows it gestated,
my darkest secret, unspoken,
only my silence and my poet will know.
How can I forget that love so unique
that still throbs in the deepest part of my being,
in my chest it persists, magical and authentic,
awakening in me a woman I can't believe.
Without restraint I surrendered myself to her arms,
without shame, without fear of what was to come,
and from me emerged a being full of charms,
a woman who would surprise herself.
