Saludos cordiales para todos los lectores. Me complace traer en esta ocasión un poema en participación a una de las actividades semanales propuestas por @freewritehouse. Para esta oportunidad me inspiré principalmente en la palabra Roca. Espero disfruten la lectura.
Warm greetings to all readers. I am pleased to bring on this occasion a poem in participation to one of the weekly activities proposed by @freewritehouse. For this opportunity I was mainly inspired by the word Roca. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Una gran maestra de vida
Mucho tiempo ha de pasar
y en las rocas se puede apreciar,
con múltiples marcas
que a la vista podemos notar.
Una gran maestra de vida.
Son como fotografías de cada época,
que viven en el recuerdo de este planeta.
Pensamos en su resistencia
o en su permanencia,
pero lo cierto es,
que, a pesar de su apariencia,
obtienen formas diferentes,
porque inversamente a su fortaleza,
pueden llegar a ser tan susceptibles,
que hasta una gota de agua,
las alcanza a marcar.
Logran ser tan grandes,
como para sostener montañas,
y tan pequeñas,
como para ser llevadas por la brisa.
Puedes haber sido sedimentaria,
o haberte fundido en el magma,
quizás sufriste meteorización
o sólo esperaste sin evolución,
pero eso no cambia,
la capacidad de transformación,
que presenta tu ciclo de adaptación.
De ti aprendí,
que la fuerza no depende del tamaño
y que el tamaño no determina tu valor;
que hay que ser grandes,
para sostener nuestros sueños,
pero pequeños,
para vivirlos.
Aprendí...
Que podemos tener fortaleza
de diferentes formas,
pero que éstas no deben evitar,
que podamos cambiar,
por más pequeño que sea;
Que, a lo largo de la vida,
pasaremos por diferentes etapas,
Y aunque no sea enseguida,
sólo hay que adaptarnos.
Y comprendí,
que el paso del tiempo
nos puede marcar,
pero son recuerdos
que podemos valorar,
como el registro de nuestra vida
por nuestro paso en este mundo.

English Version
A great teacher of life
A long time has passed
and can be seen in the rocks,
with multiple marks
that at sight we can notice.
They are like photographs of every epoch,
that live in the memory of this planet.
We think of their resistance
or their permanence,
but the truth is,
that, despite their appearance,
they take different forms,
because inversely to their strength,
they can become so susceptible,
that even a drop of water
even a drop of water can mark them.
They become so large,
to support mountains,
and so small
to be carried by the breeze.
You may have been sedimentary,
or melted into magma,
perhaps you underwent weathering
or you just waited without evolution,
but that doesn't change,
the capacity for transformation,
that presents your cycle of adaptation.
From you I learned,
that strength does not depend on size
and that size does not determine your value;
that you have to be big,
to sustain our dreams,
but small,
to live them.
I learned...
That we can have strength
in different ways,
but that these should not prevent,
that we can change,
no matter how small;
That, throughout life,
we will go through different stages,
And even if it's not right away,
we just have to adapt.
And I understood,
that the passage of time
can mark us,
but they are memories
that we can value,
as the record of our life
for our passage in this world.
