Moonlight

"Go, run as fast as you can," Kelvin yelled as he squeezed his stomach in excruciating pain.
Sheila who was standing at the door of the cell watched as her sweet kelvin went away slowly and horribly. She could barely see him in the dark little corner at the end of the small cell but she could feel his every pain. Tears rushed down her eyes as she sniffled and her hand trembling hearing the cracking bones get more intense.
"Goooo!!" Kelvin shouted at her at the top of his lungs. Sheila ran out of the cell picked up the rifle that was on top of the bag and the chains that were left and ran out of the bunker as fast as she could, she could hear Kelvin's screams echo from the narrow corridor of the bunker.

Sheila ran through the woods, she ran the fastest she had ever run in her life. She didn't even have time or the chance to appreciate the boots that she had gotten from her brother back in the house. When she got as far as she could go she stopped crashing to the ground panting so hard in the need to catch her breath. She couldn't run any further her legs were already sore from the distance. She hid behind a big tree which seemed to be the biggest around her. She held the rifle close to her chest tightly as she looked up to the boldly glowing moon. The tears rolling down her beautiful perfectly symmetrical face sparkled from the moonlight.

"I hate you," Sheila cursed at the moon. It had taken away the one whom she loved the most in her life, it had taken away Kelvin for the night. And if she was ever to survive the night she would forever hate the moon because it would not be the last.
Sheila had slept off without knowing, with how long and scary the night started the stress alone was enough to knock her into a deep sleep.

Sheila woke up immediately as she heard the howl, she looked back at the moon whose gaze was still upon her, "Kelvin," she said once again as tears flowed down her face. Sheila's mind was occupied with her love and her survival and there was no space to even accommodate or feel the insects that bit the little space that wasn't covered by the long-sleeved shirt and jean trousers she had on. Sheila watched cautiously throughout the night scared by every sound and shadow, until she was carried again by the sweet winds of the woods.

'Drop', Sheila cleaned the drop of water from the tree. She opened her eyes and squinted immediately shielding them from the direct rays of the sun. She got up immediately, she felt her spirit rise with the sun.
"Kelvin," Sheila shouted out his name as she ran back to the bunker.
"Oh Kelvin," she said on reaching the cell. She dropped the rifle took a blanket from the bag and covered Kelvin who was lying naked on the ground like he was lifeless. She lay next to him and hugged him from behind.
"Welcome back my love," she said as tears of joy rolled down her face.
