Financial Crisis - A Five Minute Freewrite

Times seemed to have changed for the couple who once lived in fine luxury and heavy boasting. The wife, who was known as the ever cheerful Elizabeth Bloom now sat gloomily on the fine couch that was positioned squarely in the living room.

From her countenance, one could tell how deep in thoughts the young lady was. She sat with arms folded as a widow who was mourning the unexpected loss of her husband. Forcing her eyes to a close, the memory of her careless deeds made her wince deeply.

Oh, how she had put her husband into a bloody mess. She kept reminiscing on the days she used to live simple and content with whatever she got and at the same time, cursed the day she met the friends who turned her into a wannabe hot housewife.

She felt like a failed woman who had debts marked to her name on every end. With her pale hands raised upwards in a bid to cover her face, she began to weep for the financial crisis she had put her family into. And unto the realization that she could have lived a better life in simplicity and effortless elegance, she gave a loud cry asking God the usual questions that any woman who had been supposedly convinced by the devil would.
