20210906 Bungalow construction (slab concrete pour) - day 62

Today is the largest concrete pour of the project. The past 6 weeks have been leading up to this.

The entire main floor, a 12 cm thick slab of about 150 square meters is being poured in one go.

The set up is similar to the last pour...

... but the ramp starts higher and is longer this time around since there is more ground to cover.

Liquid concrete arrives at the bottom of the ramp and is distributed evenly around the entire area manually.

The long horizontal bar is the limit between inside and outside the bedroom. Once the concrete is cured the metal is removed leaving a 3cm step to prevent rain water from coming in.
